About this position:
The Finance & Strategy (F&S) organization is looking for a Senior Director who is passionate about transforming the Finance function – building a foundation to scale the organization, and as an example to our customers of how salesforce.com technology can accelerate business success. This role will report to the Senior Vice President of Corporate and Operations Finance & Strategy, and will be primarily responsible for creating and implementing strategic improvements to transform the F&S organization. This includes but is not limited to financial and BI system implementation and optimization, financial planning process re-engineering, standardized KPI reporting, and employee training and enablement.
This role will initially manage a team of 8-10 full time employees, plus cross-functional project teams.

Responsibilities:
• Create a strategy and vision for an operations team to transform and revolutionize the role of Finance
• Lead the implementation of our analytics / business intelligence tools and drive the overall initiative across Finance to ensure a successful company-wide roll-out in addition to presenting at customer meetings and company events
• Create and lead a team to implement a data governance model, in partnership with our IT organization
• Lead a team to standardize key business processes, leveraging technology to streamline business reporting, such as enterprise KPIs and sales results
• Develop and help implement recommendations on how to improve current systems and business processes through structured observation and analysis
• Design and execute employee development programs based on both the organization’s and the individual needs for all levels (from college hires to VPs)
Required Skills/Experience:
• Bachelors Degree in Finance, IT or related relevant areas
• 8-10+ years of related experience, preferably in a leadership role within a Finance and/or Operations organization
• Experience leading teams, serving as a mentor and coach to employees
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
• Proven track record of working with and driving results with IT organizations
• Proven track record of driving cross functional business process and system improvements, including successful change management
• Deep understanding of Financial Systems (i.e. Oracle, Hyperion, OneStream) and Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Business Objects, Tableau, Qlik)
• Ability to drive alignments on priorities with senior management
• Strong customer service orientation and a desire to help others succeed
• Proven track record of delivering small or large scale projects
• Ability to break down complex ideas and issues and communicate in simple terms to different levels of the organization
Desired Skills/Experience:
• MBA preferred
• Experience with agile scrum methodology preferred
• Ability to influence at all levels of an organization
• Experience with financial and business intelligence tools/systems - Hyperion, Oracle, data warehouse, Business Objects, Tableau, QlikTech, Cognos
• Relevant Experience in areas including: management reporting, process improvements, process re-engineering, business intelligence, planning and forecasting processes, talent development, learning and development, vendor management, procure to pay, quote to cash.
