Senior Director Executive Compensation
The Senior Director, Executive Compensation for Expedia Group will define and build processes to be put in place. This role will also be quite strategic around what we are doing today versus what we should doing and how to make those changes. You understand the potential of executive compensation to transform a company’s ability to keep current employees engaged and beat competitors to key talent as part of a total rewards solution while working with HR Business Partners and Recruiters, as well as managers and business leaders, to help them achieve their business goals through fact-based compensation decisions.
The senior leader will provide key services to Expedia Group’s 22,000+ employees across 68 countries and be responsible for setting, implementing and evolving a comprehensive executive compensation strategy as part of our global total rewards team. You will lead our executive compensation strategy and execution, functional compensation decisions and work with our people analytics and technology teams to improve our systems and data.
What you’ll do:
• Create our executive compensation processes, strategy and priorities, in partnership with Expedia Group and total rewards leadership
• Anticipate future trends and implications for the executive rewards program by providing continual review of the programs, development and implementation of incentive plans so they align with the developed strategy
• Produce and discuss materials for and with the Compensation Committee and Board of Directors
• Simply process to ensure that executive compensation questions are answered in a timely and efficient way
• Build a culture of partnership and collaboration across the matrixed compensation team that provides global solutions as well as regional context
• Work in a multicultural environment to deliver a full-service executive compensation model including advising, core deliverables (e.g. annual compensation review) and operational tasks/requests
• Drive an executive compensation survey strategy and approach that delivers consistent market pricing that is also reflecting region/country-specific context
• Make the case for appropriate resourcing and resources
• Contribute to the future direction and priorities for total rewards as the functional expert in executive compensation
Who you are:
Functional Expertise
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in executive compensation; external consulting experience a plus
• US equity experience required
• Global experience beneficial enabling dealings with tax implications and mobility are common
• “In the room” experience with the Board and other committees required
