Job Description
Summary:
Ancestry is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead our API, Communications and Productivity teams. Ancestry’s Platform Product Management group drives the development of key platform capabilities across Ancestry’s product lines. Our mission is to deliver the best customer experiences by making development as easy and fast as possible, without compromising quality.
The API team owns the centralized orchestration, aggregation and discovery of services across Ancestry products, along with the SDK for API Gateway functionality.
In this role you will partner closely with engineering, and lead a team to create and deliver cohesive underlying components. This means creating high performing, scalable API infrastructure and driving adoption across the company.
What You Will Be Doing:
• Provide Product Management leadership to API, Communications and Productivity PMs and teams.
• Act as the product owner for all experiences related to the API Platform
• Work with your engineering partners to create and deliver the tools that can enable great front-end experiences across the Ancestry product suite.
Qualifications
About You:
• You will have 5 years of experience in product management roles where you’ve built and launched successful mobile and web products and API development
• Additionally, you will have 3 years of experience in managing, guiding, and mentoring a team of Product Managers
• You have an exceptional technical background
