WeWork is seeking an International Financial Reporting Manager to support the International Financial Reporting team and global controllers covering statutory reporting requirements across over 40 different international jurisdictions. This position will report to the Senior Manager, International Financial Reporting at WeWork’s HQ in New York. The manager will lead multiple projects at once and partner with various operating groups and external service providers to ensure WeWork remains compliant with all global statutory financial reporting requirements in countries spanning Europe, Latin America and Asia.
Responsibilities:
• Lead timely and accurate completion of statutory reporting requirements across a rapidly growing number of international entities and escalate project roadblocks as needed
• Support external service providers in compiling local GAAP financial statements and completing audits through preparation of financial schedules and footnote disclosures
• Comprehend and relay details of technical accounting transactions to audit and compilation service providers and assess required disclosures
• Review and perform due diligence checks over statutory financial statements and own the resolution of all comments
• Liaise with the international reporting teams and support regionalization efforts
• Evaluate statutory reporting requirements and leverage requirements to analyze and monitor the execution of logical project plans
• Collaborate with various internal groups, including accounting, tax, legal, treasury, finance and real estate
• Maintain statutory ledgers to track US GAAP vs. local GAAP/IFRS differences year over year
• Other international reporting projects as assigned
Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree; major in finance and/or accounting
• 5+ years of external audit, accounting, and/or financial reporting experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• IFRS reporting experience is a plus
• Experience working with multi-national companies and global markets
• High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing projects and priorities simultaneously
• Work independently with strong problem solving and analytical skills and have ability to recognize and recommend solutions
• Able to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong leadership skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely with global internal and external contacts
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Workday is a plus
