WeWork is looking for an Expansion Manager who will be based in new Markets around their region and while rotating through projects every 3-4 months supporting the city and the Expansion, they will also help coach and manage a team of Expansion Leads focusing on building up Brand Awareness in new markets. A successful candidate will have a very large focus on coaching, mentoring, building up brand awareness, working on strategic and Enterprise deals and ultimately helping manage and lead the Pre-Sales process of the market to ensure opening up the first building or two at 85% occupancy or greater. This person will report into the Director of Expansion.
As a successful Expansion Manager, you will be support the growth for the company and Community team.
Responsibilities will include (though will not be limited to):
• Develop a strategic sales plan to be executed within your book of business
• Be fast pace in both lead generation and lead conversion
• Articulate WeWork’s value proposition to C-Level executives across Finance, Real Estate, HR, and other departments as necessary
• Leverage Salesforce to maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast
• Work cross-functionally with Account Management, Real Estate, Community and Operations to optimize the member experience
• Tap into the local network by reaching out to event organizers and attending relevant events within the city.
• Connect with influencers in your region to build partnerships and clients. Source a network of influencers and leverage relationships to reach sales goals.
• Provide innovative, scalable solutions for lead generation (including implementing in each Expansion project), for example cold emailing, networking, events, social media, etc.
• Uncover growth opportunities through existing members
• Creates value for clients and adds to the company’s capabilities and reputation;
◦ Maintains a thorough understanding of WeWork’s product offerings and tailoring its presentation to meet the needs of different types of organizations.
◦ Assists clients in developing the business case and value proposition for proposed solutions when necessary
• In some instances, be the local point of contact for Mid Market (50-999 employees) and Enterprise opportunities (>1,000 employees)
• Be willing to travel 80-90% of the time
Qualifications:
• 8+ years of sales experience
• 3-5 years of Managerial Experience
• Experience with Salesforce a plus
• Commercial real estate sales experience a plus
• B2B business solutions experience a plus
• Business development experience a plus
• Ability to establish and nurture C-level relationships
• Ability to penetrate new markets
• Presentation and communication skills required
• Detail orientation and organization skills required
• Bachelor’s degree (MBA is a plus)
• A willingness to travel and spend sufficient time on the road to understand the business
• Highly analytical, detail oriented and process driven
• Handles ambiguity well, adaptable and excited to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Believes in community and collaboration;the ability to create relationships quickly with colleagues and partners in the business
