The Director, Engagement Management will be responsible for leading engagement teams, guiding day-to-day execution of assignments and interfacing with client leadership. In this role, you will be required to build and maintain client relationships, which will involve proactively gathering information and influencing the direction of the overall engagement. You will work collaboratively with our Client Partners and subject-matter experts to deliver excellent work product and surface additional opportunities.
Responsibilities
• Lead individuals and teams across in prioritizing new projects, assessing staffing capabilities and needs,, analyzing project goals, and developing a plan for achieving and presenting those goals to client management.
• Work directly with clients--typically on site--to manage the relationship within the realm of the consulting business and own all end products
• Manage all project-related communications in an effort to keep all individuals, team, and overall key stakeholders informed
• Proactively assist the team with conducting research and background information on prospective clients, assessing project viability and risks, and planning project scope and timeframe. Ultimately leads the team in presenting potential project plans to senior leadership
Required Skills
• Solid functional knowledge, including but not limited to: strategy, business development, communications, project management, etc.
• Independently and proactively capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, aligning stakeholders, and delivering results in challenging situations
• Able to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance, providing ideas and influencing the direction of the task at hand without authority
• High level of personal credibility, customer relationship, and networking skills
• Innovative problem solver: Possessing strong interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational, and project planning skills
• Able to liaise with individuals across all levels in a professional manner
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deal with complex problems and present recommendations and findings in a clear, concise format
Education & Experience
• BA/BS from a leading undergraduate institution with a major in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Finance); must have an exemplary academic record.
• 8+ years experience in business management or consulting at a top-tier firm
