Description
The Director, Operational Financial Reporting and Analysis will work closely with the Enterprise Customer Support Shared Services Operations, as well as the Corporate Finance Department. This key role is responsible for financial planning, reporting, variance analysis, forecasting and budgeting for the Enterprise Customer Support Department to support all of 1-800-Flowers.com's brands.
• Responsible for weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting performing data extraction and the creation of custom reports using tools such as SAP, Oracle R12 and Excel.
• Responsible for daily management reporting of key financial data, including sales, discounts, service center labor, etc.
• Responsible for implementation of methodology for charge-out fully loaded expenses to business units.
• Oversee reporting, invoicing, and planning process for Enterprise Customer Support Department.
• Support management decision making in areas such as communication costs and business analysis for assigned business units.
• Reporting key Company metrics and conduct competitive due diligence as needed.
• Support the preparation of board, investor relations and other presentations as needed.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, as well as the monthly/quarterly forecast/reforecast.
• Work closely with Corporate Finance Team on various special projects and initiatives including, but not limited to the following:
◦ preparation, reconciliation and presentation of the annual budget
◦ generate and distribute consolidated and brand budget and monthly reconciliation and close reports
◦ coordinate with accounting in processing monthly billable files and variance reporting.
• Manage at least one direct report
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field required (MBA/MS a plus but not required).
• 10+ years of advanced operational financial analysis experience with demonstrated analytical, planning and organizational skills are essential (prior accounting experiences a plus).
• Excel Expert.
• Experienced in financial statement analysis and have a strong understanding of Operational Finance.
• Understanding of GAAP accounting strongly preferred.
• The ability to present complex information in a usable format to a diverse audience.
• Experience managing direct reports.
