The Senior Business Development Manager's main task is to facilitate the growth of the Bazaarvoice network. Working primarily with the sales and marketing departments, this experienced professional develops training plans to educate and motivate Retailers to participate in co-marketing various other educational programs. Your role will be to build and leverage relationships with key Retailers and partners in the Bazaarvoice network in support content acquisition and improve their consumer generated content program goals.
Business Development Manager Job Duties:
• Identify ideas & develop value story/ business cases to get initial buy-in from Retail Clients on co-marketing initiatives
• Meet and exceed your personal quota through various tactics; in-person training, webinars, email campaigns, vendor summits
• Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders such Retail Account Directors, Sales, Services and Marketing to deliver on not only the best interest of the client, but obtain internal pipeline goals and client content goals
• Maintain a critical focus on delivering results through monitoring campaign activities and regularly sharing out performance; deliver on optimizations based on reporting
• Have a knack for networking and prospecting to gain access to the right stakeholders and decision makers on co-marketing programs inside retailer organizations
• Have a passion for Retail; continues to further knowledge and education to understand trends both in Retail and the content space
• Occasionally attend trade-shows or expos to network and be a representative of Bazaarvoice and our Retailers
Qualifications:
• BA or BS degree
• Five years proven track record in business sales or related market. Experience in Retail preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and statistical analysis software
• Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements
• Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner
