THE CHALLENGE
We are in exciting, high-growth times here at Eventbrite, and the Onboarding team is positioned to directly impact the growth of Eventbrite’s core business and the value we deliver to our event creators. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities for future growth and advising key stakeholders on the product, strategic, and operational changes. You will work closely with our product, engineering, and data teams to identify collaborative approaches to driving growth. You will also play an important role in ensuring we have sufficient monitoring and reporting in place to understand the impact of new product releases and present these insights back to management.
THE TEAM
The Onboarding team is responsible for helping our new event creators promote their events to millions of potential attendees and drive more ticket sales and free registrations on Eventbrite. We play a critical role in providing an engaging and successful first-time experience for creators, so they’re more likely to return for their future events. Not only do we have a direct impact on the growth of Eventbrite’s core business, but we’re also helping to accelerate the company’s vision of becoming the global platform for live experiences.
THE ROLE
Being an integral part of the cross-functional team you’ll serve as an advocate of our data-driven culture, work closely with Product and Engineering helping them use insights that will direct their efforts towards initiatives with the highest impact. You’ll analyze and explore data in our data warehouse, work with the product manager to design in-product experiments, analyze the results, and provide strategic recommendations. You’ll use your analytical expertise to help determine priorities in our 2019 roadmap. We’re looking for someone who will synthesize analysis and results in compelling storylines and communicate to key stakeholders throughout Eventbrite. This is a role for someone passionate about data, feature experimentation and business strategy.
You will partner closely with our Product Managers to identify gaps in product offering by conducting comprehensive data analysis. You’ll define data to be collected for measuring the success of new product features, define KPIs, and work with engineering on tracking and instrumentation of data. You’ll conquer query optimization problems on large data sets. You will also design and build self-service dashboards using a mixture of analytical and visualization techniques (e.g., Tableau) to derive actionable insight from data.
You’ll investigate anomalies and new data in ad hoc projects with SQL, Presto, Hive, Amplitude, Google Analytics, and Excel, and work closely with the product team to properly design and conduct A/B tests for experimental product features. You’ll also work with Sales and Customer Support to quantify user feedback.
