The Global Specialists (GS) organization was set up to operationalize a consistent, scalable model for Cisco’s sales and SE specialists globally. It will grow the business as Cisco’s tip of the spear for strategic offers vs. many of our toughest competitors, and it will transform our specialist model such that we most effectively put the right GTM and selling resources on Cisco’s most critical opportunities and transitions.
Director Bus Dev, Enterprise Segment Alignment
Supporting the VP of Cisco’s Global Specialist team for Customer Experience and Services. We are seeking a Director of Business Development to join the leadership team to engage with the Global Sales Segments teams and the Global Specialist Architecture teams to ensure the teams are aligned in their GTM strategy for Services. We are looking for a leader to engage with the Enterprise segment team within the Global Sales Segments team, also to drive the fiscal year plan and enablement plan; interlocked. This will accelerate the field’s capability and services selling readiness to deliver sustainable growth in for services in the Enterprise segment and a world-class customer experience
What You’ll Do
You will drive business initiatives, planning activities, and drive the cadence for governance between the CX Services Product portfolio, the different Architectures into the Global Sales Segment team (GSSI). You will also ensure measurement of the initiatives between Services, GSSI and the specific Architectures teams and align CX Service Offers to the Enterprise Segment GTM plan.
There will be three main areas of focus:
• Ensure interlock between CX teams and Services field teams to deliver relevant competitive high-value offers
• Guide field readiness on existing offers and lead the development of transformative lifecycle offers
• Drive sales GTM consistency to sell Services.
You will also be responsible for the assessment of ongoing performance and recommend adjustments to resource, structure, and processes as appropriate. You will make recommendations, deliver insights, and communicate results to attain consensus across the leadership team and stakeholders to achieve business objectives and financial commitments.
Manage:
• Contribute to and lead governance structure with Enterprise Segment leaders to ensure alignment of the Architectures (Ent Net, Collab, Security…) and Services GTM initiatives
• Lead virtual team to roll-up the Enterprise Segment Services forecast for the month, the quarter, and the year, using SFDC and its capabilities
• Participate in and represent the Enterprise Segement services in the quarterly review cycle
◦ Partner with finance on forecasts, spend, portfolio investments and resourcing aligned to the annual plan
◦ Establish one-year priorities that are stack ranked with clear decision criteria and ownership with Enterprise Segement leadership team for Services
◦ Manage a clear governance process to ensure an ongoing refresh of initiatives
• Run monthly and quarterly operations reviews for the Services Product lines into Enterprise Segment and develop output for QBR together with the Enterprise Segment leadership team
• Lead, in partnership with the Enterprise Segement leaders and the prioritized architecture leaders the build-out of the Services Specialist enablement plan for Enterprise segment and for the upcoming FY plan
• Facilitate talent and resourcing discussions with the leadership to maximize capabilities across the team
• Establish ongoing reporting metrics, status on priorities and key financial information for effective decision making
Who You Are
You are a strategic leader with a depth of experience in driving transformation across a broad set of technologies globally. You have the ability to view the current environment and develop insights for the future requirements of the organization in a 6, 12 and 18-month horizon
• A Bachelor’s Degree is required MBA is preferred with a minimum of 10+ years’ related experience
• Create relationships and credibility at VP and SVP level
• Has led market initiatives and organization, ideally business development or sales leadership experience
• Excellence in all areas of business management, including project management, business analysis, recommendation, and consensus building
• Demonstrated ability in leading Services sales or deep understanding of the services sales cycle
• Experience in implementing new product introduction processes and customer and employee input/feedback methodologies
• Clear success in prior roles, with increasing levels of responsibility and independence
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
