KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify new business areas and strategies for Audible’s Emerging Business group. Develop and drive detailed analysis and business case - backed by data - to help construct recommendations around new ideas, the customer value proposition, and the final customer-facing product.
• Create new, efficient processes for bringing ideas to launch; develop repeatable development methodologies and processes; focus on continual improvement and streamlining of processes to ensure best quality outcomes and speed to market.
• Work with Emerging Business leadership to craft a compelling narrative and plan around new opportunities in preparation for senior management presentations, clearly articulating the ‘big vision’ while being specific in defining any product, financial, and resource requirements for the business.
• Lead existing new businesses, this may include shorter term projects to help teams deliver results to customers more quickly.
• Work with teams ‘boots on the ground’ – stay actively engaged with teams at each cycle of the process, developing milestones and schedules for projects, ensuring project team and stakeholder alignment; manage to, and deliver on, agreed-upon deadlines.
• Understand and identify key interdependencies and critical path tasks, as well as anticipate potential issues.
• Provide ongoing project management, status updates, and cross-functional coordination, including preparation of meeting materials for team members and senior management.
• Define critical KPI’s and lead teams to track and strategically react to business performance to improve results.
• Ad-hoc, roll up your sleeves projects that might be at a different scope or level than your role.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent business judgment, exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), and a track record of proven success.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities in a calm and efficient manner.
• Self-starter attitude and ability to build a strong rapport and trust with resources across multiple functional areas.
• Strong, clear communication skills – both written and oral; can succinctly and clearly communicate, and are ability to produce documents and presentations that are ready for management review.
• 10-15 years investment banking, management consulting, or tech startup management experience (or, some combination of the above, preferably within consumer tech).
• Deep understanding of the US technology consumer market; a track record launching new consumer facing products in the US, including some product management experience, with a strong preference for experience at a consumer tech start-up.
• Strong analytics background.
• A master of PowerPoint and Excel.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Must be based in the US; must be able to travel frequently as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Analyst background.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or Business.
