ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sr Program Manager for the SVP, Consumer Tech is a highly visible role which serves as a business liaison, program leader and consultant on various initiatives within Consumer Tech and with partner organizations. As a member of the Consumer Tech Leadership Team, the candidate for this position is expected to develop a broad and deep understanding of the organization, will be a strong collaborator across Consumer Tech Sr Directors and VPs, has leadership skills to influence partners and stakeholders, and is a highly organized self-starter. The ideal candidate thinks strategically, operates effectively, drives key initiatives, and leads by example.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Contribute to and support the development of Consumer Tech strategies and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).
• Lead the reporting and achievement of goals and objectives across the Consumer Tech org.
• Create project plans for all key strategic initiatives and track key metrics to assure they are being accomplished.
• Lead and execute named initiatives across the Consumer Tech organization.
• Drives Consumer Tech Leadership meetings and strategic sessions.
• Draft and support strategic correspondence to the Executive Leadership Team, Tech VPs and Sr Directors including Software Development Managers, Technical Program Managers, and other senior engineering leaders.
• Managing follow-ups to SVP requests, discovering root causes and leading fixes for the issues.
• Identify best practices and develop mechanisms to drive best practice sharing, continuous improvement, and consistency across Consumer Tech programs.
• Facilitate senior leadership decisions and processes by implementing systems to ensure strong follow-up on action items and questions with relevant senior leaders (in coordination with VP, Finance and HR).
• Partner with Finance to lead monthly and quarterly business reviews and to manage to headcount targets.
• Partner with HR to regularly publish and review tech engagements survey.
• Results and define key initiatives to drive improvement.
• Works closely with other Technical Advisors in partner organizations to manage cross-functional prioritization, execution, issue/risk identification, and resolution.
• Provide an independent perspective, act as a sounding board for ideas, and provide feedback on internal issues that need addressing.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or other relevant degree.
• 10+ years’ experience engaging with Sr. Executives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and ideas in a non-technical, simple manner across different levels and geographies of an organization. Must be able to influence at all levels.
• Demonstrated experience in building, managing and measuring strategic plans and driving complex tasks and projects.
• Proven, successful track record of navigating through ambiguous situations.
• Proven, successful track record of influencing across the organization and leading others cross-functionally to deliver on projects and goals.
• Results oriented and with a strong focus on customers and innovation.
• Resourceful self-starter with an independent attitude and focus on excellence.
• Highly proactive and highly comfortable with ambiguity.
• High levels of curiosity and passion for learning about new products, people, and markets.
