DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the SVP, Content Marketing & Merchandising, the VP, Creative Director will be responsible for driving the creative marketing strategy for high priority content releases (Audible Originals/Exclusives) and overseeing the creative asset development and production for all campaigns promoting these releases. Further, the VP, Creative Director will work with the editorial team to develop ongoing content promotions across email, social media, and owned Audible surfaces (web and mobile sites).
For Marquee releases, the VP, Creative Director will help drive title branding (such as creative positioning, key art, photography, illustration, and any other program brand systems, as needed), as well as collaborate with key business partners on creative marketing solutions which best reach and engage target audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate productively with business partners to develop compelling creative strategies, which:
• Perfectly communicate the unique proposition of each piece of content
• Identify core consumer insights, human truths, and native behaviors to leverage in order to attract, compel, and convert the target audience
• Highlight unique talents or POV of talent involved (writers and narrators)
• Define communications plans which effectively and innovatively utilize paid, owned, and earned channels, as appropriate, to reach and convert target audiences
• Leverage data, if available, to inform creative strategies and design decisions
• Elevate the Audible Brand
• Lead the execution of said plans, ensuring:
• Delivery of high quality assets, on time and on budget
• Efficient use of owned resources (dedicated team members) and external parties (agencies, production companies)
• Motivated, happy team who feel challenged and appreciated
• Positive and productive collaboration with other functions (Content, UX, Marquee Marketing, PR, Editorial, Product, etc.)
• Lead and develop a highly functioning team, including
• Establishing clear processes for efficient workflow and communications
• Attracting, recruiting/retaining and growing talent
• Driving ongoing optimization of team and skill sets
• Developing a culture of inspiration and motivation
• Succession planning
• Core success factors:
• Proven ability to increase member consumption of priority releases (Marquee, Originals, as well as utilize priority releases to attract new prospects to Audible, drive interest/enthusiasm and ultimately new trials, and strengthen enthusiasm among current members.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• An authentic, mature, flexible leader, who advocates for his/her strategies, team, and colleagues
• A clear understanding of design-centered processes as well as proven methodologies for identifying and solving problems
• Stunning portfolio full of a wide range of visual styles.
• Dedicated and strong attention to detail.
• Clear, concise, and transparent communication style.
• Passion for storytelling
• Experience working on one or more highly-trafficked websites/mobile websites/native application
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Background in creative design and brand marketing, preferably in media/entertainment
• B.S. required in design related discipline
• Agency and client side experiences
• 15+ years professional experience
