Reporting into Finance Shared Services, you will lead the strategy and execution of Global Tennant Improvement Collections Globally as well as project accounting for certain business lines for WeWork, including Powered by We.

Responsibilities of the Director, Global TI Collections & Project Accounting:
You will be responsible for building out effective processes and robust reporting around Global Tennant Improvement Collections and Project Accounting, including the PxWe Business line.
• Lead, manage, and train team members on the new established process for TI collections and client billings for PxWe.
• Partner with Internal departments to improve and enhance overall the overall effectiveness of the process.
• Understand the deal structure with our landlords and PxWe clients.
• Monitor the cash position of each project and TI collection; to include but not limited to dashboards and other reports to meet various reporting needs.
• Handle documentation flow as well as update all relevant information related to requisitions and invoices.
• Collaborate with business partners to set SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and identify the critical data needed to effectively manage the processes
• Serve as the primary point of contact for issues, escalation and remediation.
• Partner with other functions within Shared Services to ensure the best possible outcomes.
• Work closely with Development Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Cost Managers on all facets of project accounting and administration issues.
• Lead documentation flow as well as update all relevant information related to requisitions and invoices.
• Report financial information to all necessary departments and have information readily available.
Team Duties:
• Prepare monthly owner requisitions for PxWe and requisitions for the tenant improvement allowance reimbursements
• Maintain constant contact with the Construction/Development Project Managers for an up to date percentage of work completed so billing can be done proportionally
• Communicate with subcontractors and vendors to acquire necessary documents for client/landlord billing (i.e. insurance requirements, waivers, billing procedures, etc.)
• Process any change orders/deductions for any contract.
• Ensure that all Lien Waivers are complete and tie to billed value
• Professionally communicate with clients and landlords to submit bills and collect payment
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, or Accounting required
• 10 years if experience in Construction or Real Estate with a strong background in Project Accounting and/or Tenant Improvements Collections
• Ability to handle multiple, complex tasks and responsibilities simultaneously, often under tight timelines
• Ability to think outside the box and take data from multiple sources and pull it together into one package
• Ability to build and lead a team on a global scale
• Ability to be agile in an environment of rapid growth – required
• Client facing interaction experience, with either building owners or enterprise clients
• Acute attention to detail
• Strong written, oral and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Creative thinking with ability to identify process improvements
• Strong relationship building skills
