Department Description:
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Product Marketing team works across technology, product, sales, and marketing to position and promote the #1 Marketing Cloud in the industry. We are looking for someone to help ensure that our customer facing teams have the knowledge, tools and confidence to position and sell Salesforce's Advertising and Data products. A big part of the job will include serving as the “subject matter expert” on the needs of advertising orientated buyers and the technologies they use. This expertise will be applied to creating content and programs that sales will use to grow their own expertise and create market demand.
Role Description:
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud team is looking for a product marketer who is positive, flexible and has great interpersonal skills that they'll put to work collaborating across their stakeholders . They'll be an industry expert with proven ability to partner with sales on programs that grow the business.
Position Responsibilities:
• Align with the Marketing Cloud account teams to understand gaps in sales knowledge, tools and programs related to Advertising and Data buyers and products.
• Collaborate with Product Management to create/deliver product use cases that resonate with marketers in the specified industry.
• Be the expert marketing resource on Salesforce's place in advertising technology.
• Partner with Sales Enablement to build on-boarding and ongoing training programs that prepare sales to have effective conversations related to advertising and data related technology.
• Develop content, enablement messaging, plays, and programs that help drive pipeline, find new buyers, and cross-sell into existing accounts
• Work closely with cross-functional marketing teams to drive the business & product marketing strategy, then track, measure, and report against objectives
• Communicate effectively and often to ensure all stakeholders are aligned
• Comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences that range from a few to hundreds.
Basic Requirements:
• 4+ years experience working with advertising and data related products.
• 10+ years of experience within Marketing, Product Marketing or similar roles
• Proven ability in building and launching programs that impact sales and sales results
• Dynamic, confident personality with the ability to successfully define and drive project execution with minimal guidance amidst multiple priorities and goals
• Hands-on ability to create a range of marketing assets, including succinct slide pitch-decks and sales guides.
• Exceptional team player with proven ability to lead through influence
• Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively
• A sense of humor, tenacity, and grace under pressure
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Experience in a large, enterprise technology company
• Ability to deliver results in a matrixed environments comprised of internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally ~25% of the time
