MediaMath is seeking a highly data driven and analytical Director of Pricing to create, deliver and drive a world class SaaS pricing function. Ad tech has a uniquely interesting and complex suite of SaaS products. The right person will be able to translate that uncertainty into something that is functional, direct and results-driven. Acting as the pricing strategist & evangelist for our executives in the org, clients, and major stakeholders means being able to communicate creative ideas in an effective and efficient way. You will need to tell a story with data and create tactics that compel and inspire action to drive the pricing of a complex suite of products in an ever-changing marketplace.
This high influence, high impact role will develop and drive a comprehensive pricing strategy, as well as take a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy. Through technical credibility, the right person will ensure our talented executives have a solid understanding of and commitment to the overall pricing strategy; additionally, this individual will be responsible for solidifying the pricing framework across all commercial enablers within the organization.
What you’ll do:
• Create and drive scalable global pricing models and initiatives that provide clear value to clients & profitability to MM
• Direct pricing strategy for products, services & partnerships
• Develop, manage & implement strategies, processes, systems & actions that help business achieve optimal price realization & drives data-driven decision making at enterprise level
• Build & maintain pricing models, yield analyses & translate KPIs & test revenue projections
• Use qualitative & quantitative analysis to develop recommendations & stress test pricing/rate-card decisions
• Create & deliver strategy presentations quarterly to keep refining pricing strategy
• Work with Sales Operations, & Product Marketing to help train/coach sales team & provide deal support
• Own & lead all operational initiatives that impact pricing strategy & deployment – including how operations & finance can support the billing & invoicing of/to clients
What you’ll need:
Background
• 5+ years within strategy consulting, BI, Pricing/Yield analytics or quantitative trading
• 5+ years pricing SaaS-style products and tech services; Ad-tech would be ideal, but is not required
Skills
• Excellent SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, R, Python
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an uncanny ability to marry narrative and numbers for compelling, strategic storytelling and executive presentations
• Demonstrated accountability for a broad range of research and market-focus with an ability to take ownership by diving deeper where needed
• Proven experience with project management including the capacity to manage external experts at an extremely fast-paced schedule
• Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly learn and absorb new information
