THE TEAM
The Tax crew plays a key role in helping the company make business decisions. We work cross-functionally in everything we do. As an action-based and practical team, we advise on complicated issues by thinking creatively to find solutions while always ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
THE ROLE
In your role as the Director of Tax, you will oversee Eventbrite’s global tax process. You will lead tax strategy and operations for all areas of business, including mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, tax related legal matters, systems, and strategic tax planning issues. You will also lead in developing a world-class tax function to support increased internationalization and the ever increasing & challenging external tax environment through internal and external resources. You will play a key role in developing and executing the strategic direction of critical investments in Product and Engineering to ensure compliance with current and future tax regulations.

• Experience overseeing ASC 740 quarterly and annual processesExperience with SOX process implementation
• Ability and desire to manage people at multiple levels
• A minimum of 10+ years of tax experience, with a combination of Big 4 public accounting and industry (reputable U.S. multinational company)
• preferredBachelor's Degree or equivalent required; CPA, Master's degree or equivalent in Taxation or Accounting, or Law Degree preferred
