Director, Strategy and Operations - SI Alliances - Salesforce.org
Salesforce.org is looking for a highly effective strategy and technology leader to act as the Senior Manager, Strategy and Operations supporting our Global SI Alliances organization. The Salesforce.org Global SI Alliances team supports over 130 global partners in driving partner pipeline events, sponsorships, technical enablement, certification and support and plays a critical role in our company as it drives customer success with a focus on partner success.
Reporting to the Vice President (VP), Global SI Alliances, the Director, Strategy and Operations should have a solid understanding of Global SI Alliances functions, be highly organized, possess exceptional executive communication skills, be able to juggle multiple priorities and have experience with forecasting, trend reporting and analysis. The individual will be both visionary and pragmatic, and be able to work effectively in a matrixed environment. He or she will help define, communicate and execute the geographic strategy and support the VP in leading a high performing team to success.
Responsibilities
• Keep leadership focused on meeting department goals by organizing and driving monthly reviews
• Facilitate weekly reporting calls along with associated analytics and communications necessary in order to exceed targets
• Organize and facilitate weekly and monthly leadership meeting agendas and content (e.g. Directs team, Extended Leader, All Hands)
• Organize and execute regular reviews to deep dive on special topics
• Partner with the operations team to create the necessary tools, reports and data analytics to drive the business
• Create and support delivery of senior executive level presentations
• Own creation of executive decks, operational dashboards, and detailed analysis to identify performance trends and opportunities
• Partner with Finance to build annual budgets, update quarterly expense outlooks, ongoing capacity planning, merit and promotion planning
• Partner with Employee Services (ES) to manage organization-wide ES initiatives related to Alliances staff
• Partner with Recruiting to ensure availability of strong candidate pipeline as well as timely hiring across all roles
• Present regular business updates across Global SI Alliances
• Develop, execute, and manage departmental communications
• Own or assist with acquisition integration
• Ensure team compliance with certifications & badging
• Ensure alignment with extended teams (e.g. sales) to meet shared target and metrics
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of Salesforce.com products and services and how they can apply to specific customer situations
Experience / Skills Required
• Broad-based business and technology professional with 10+ years of management experience, with proven track record of managing a P&L and/or operations
• Highly organized, ability to coordinate activities of senior leaders to drive alignment and attainment of goals
• Skillful in collaboration and diplomacy to ensure smooth working relationships across matrixed teams
• Extensive experience presenting to and collaborating with Senior Executives
• Consistent track record of building great teams and relentless operational execution
• Ability to execute at both the strategic and tactical level, able to roll up his/her sleeves to get things done
• Proven success building strong relationships with all levels of an organization
• Excellent team player able to work with virtual and global cross functional teams
• Experience managing systems infrastructure projects
• Ability to quickly grasp and distinctly explain technology and business concepts
• A technical degree and MS or MBA
