Senior Director, Product Management

We are seeking a product leader who will relentlessly focus on our customer, providing an experience that is delightfully easy, while, delivering value for our car rental supply partners. The product leader will be passionate about technology, intelligent and curious, and ready to hit the ground running in a fast paced and collaborative environment.
As Senior Director and Head of Product Management, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the product vision, setting initiatives and strategy execution, as well as team leadership for product management and UX design. You will have a bias to action to break down complex challenges into steps that drive product development at speed. You will be an influential leader who can inspire and motivate a cross functional team of resources. You will be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, own deliverables end-to-end, prioritize workload, and thrive in a dynamic environment. The executive will be a passionate and proven leader, pursuing strategic opportunities and championing areas of growth in a competitive space.
What you'll do:
• Own the product management and UX design of the end to end technology stack, including consumer experience across all devices, customer care tools, supplier connectivity and APIs
• Manage feature prioritization and tradeoffs, balancing quick wins and longer-term investments
• Communicate strategic plans, roadmaps, and prioritization decisions to cross-functional leadership team
• Evangelize the vision constantly so all stakeholders are aligned, have context and understand where we are going
• Partner with suppliers at the senior level, understand key industry trends and their impact on suppliers’ key objectives and strategies, and implement reciprocal business plans that deliver long-term mutual revenue growth
• Lead a team focused on product definition, requirements analysis, documentation of requirements, and product positioning
• Relentless attention to customer needs, analytics, and tech to help develop a quality core product combined with features that will meet and exceed the needs of our customers
• Understand the evolving mobile and technology landscape, constantly working on idea generation and launch of innovative features that are aligned with business needs and based on opportunity, market research and competitive analysis
• Proactively identify and resolve ambiguous problems that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial and technical goals
• Assist with build versus buy decisions optimizing for time-to-market and the best customer experience
• Collaborate and execute in an agile environment
• Lead a team of product managers to execute and deliver on distinct projects within the roadmap
• Thrive in a small, start up like environment to find creative solutions to problems
• Inspire, support and mentor a globally dispersed product, UX and design team
Who you are:
• Undergraduate Degree required; MBA preferred
• 10+ years of product experience with at least 8 years in consumer technology
• Significant and validated industry experience in leading consumer product management teams
• Analytical approach to solving complex business problems
• Data driven; ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to back up assumptions and make decisions
• Previous success leading the complete roadmap development, ownership, and execution
• Shown success in delivering technology products in a high growth environment including noteworthy failures that shaped your view and perspective as a product leader
• Clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas to individuals and groups at all levels of the organization; develop influencing strategies that persuade key stakeholders to take action towards advancing shared interests and business goals
• Derive satisfaction from goal achievement and continuous improvement
• Proven ability to attract, hire and motivate top talent
• Robust leadership and consensus building skills, with a willingness to continually embrace the personal and professional development of the team
• Prior management of five or more globally dispersed employees is preferred
