DESCRIPTION
Audible - an Amazon company and perpetual innovator – is looking for a Growth Strategy Director to join our Marketing team in either Newark NJ or Seattle WA (the team is split equally across Audible’s NJ and SEA offices).
The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic initiatives identified as growth drivers for the company. More specifically, this individual will define, develop and, ultimately, execute against the long-term vision, product roadmap and Go-To-Market plan across assigned strategic growth initiatives. This individual will also serve as PMO, ensuring ongoing team delivery against plans.
This role requires a customer-obsessed, analytical mindset with an ability to partner closely with Market Research and Data Science to unearth and leverage customer and market insights to drive strategy development. You will work closely and collaboratively with multiple other partners as well – Acquisition Marketing, Member Engagement, Product, Finance, Business Development, and more.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive thought leadership for key initiatives critical to Audible’s long-term growth
• Develop business cases for initiatives in conjunction with Market Research and Business Intelligence
• Bring together customer and market insights, financial data, and analytics to develop data-driven strategies, project roadmaps and Go-to-Market plans.
• Serve as Project Management Office ensuring strategic initiatives deliver to plan and timelines.
• Write effective narratives and business communications (vision documents, proposals, GTM plans, etc) to convey plans and proposals to broader teams and senior leadership.
• Participate in early concepting of new product offerings.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5-10 years of relevant strategic marketing/planning, e-commerce and/or consulting experience.
• Proven record of developing and executing consumer strategies to drive significant growth.
• Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate with teams across an organization to achieve business results.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Experience working closely with Market Research, Data Science and Product teams to unearth and utilize insights in developing growth strategies and plans.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple projects and deliver results.
• Interest in digital media and technology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA from a top business school.
