Position Responsibilities
The AV Events Lead, Corporate AV Services is part of a team responsible for collaborating with key functional departments to produce high quality multimedia events that will be broadcast company wide. The ideal candidate will be an experienced event engineer with high-level technical proficiency in all areas of audio, video capture, video conferencing, live streaming, as well as production coordination.
This position functions in a large corporate environment that builds and executes live event broadcasts in both the Headquarters and satellite offices with a focus on executive led, company facing events. This position will provide daily event support, from event planning and coordination through event execution. This position requires an uncompromising attitude towards customer service, experience working with executives, and advanced communication skills.
The preferred candidate should have proficiency with broadcast production systems and setups within a live event environment, perform well under pressure, experience with executive support, and enjoy using their specialized skills and knowledge to continuously improve audio visual experiences. He/she must be flexible, able to work in a team environment, have a willingness to learn and develop new skills and aspire to be part of a high performing global team.
Requirements
• Coordinate audio visual aspects for multiple events
• Execute events solely and as part of a team
• Direct and execute production aspects of live streaming events
• Source freelance support and equipment through local vendors as needed per event requirements
• Troubleshoot issues as they relate to functionality and provide alternate solutions
• Be visible and approachable to answer colleagues questions regarding large meeting and event production technology
• Monitoring AV inbox and responding promptly to tickets, keeping the user informed of status and resolution
• Provide end-user training and assistance on hardware/software being used as required
• Research and develop new AV solutions in coordination with other members of the Audio Visual team
• Assist other AV team members with any special projects & events
• Travel throughout the west coast region
• Occasional national and global travel
Qualifications
• High School diploma
• Minimum of 5 years of previous audio-visual experience, preferably in a large corporate environment
• Strong customer service orientation
• Experience with the following AV equipment and technologies:
◦ Digital Audio Consoles including Yamaha CL/QL series, and Midas X32
◦ Dante
◦ Video Conferencing including Zoom
◦ Broadcast Video Switching including Blackmagic ATEM and Ross Carbonite
◦ Live Streaming including Wirecast, YouTube, Wowza
• Strong knowledge of Video/Web conferencing technology
• Cabling of AV, projection, audio consoles, video switch devices, live stream encoders, and conferencing equipment
• Ability and motivation to learn new technologies quickly and with minimal support and guidance
• Ability to carry and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills
• Proficient in G-Suite and Internet applications
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Must be attentive to detail, accurate, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a high pressure, fast paced environment
• Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction
• Professional attire required for daily interaction with executive level client personnel
