We are looking for a senior or director product manager to drive the integration roadmap for Heroku. You will be responsible for working with a diverse set of stakeholders across product management, engineering, marketing and sales to execute on the following:
• Integration-focused products and initiatives that span Salesforce and Heroku
• Define and ship technical and go-to-market integrations between Mulesoft and Heroku
• Identify, define, and prioritize high-value projects, reference architectures, and processes to enable thousands of internal developers across many teams to best leverage Heroku as a development platform
• Serve as a Heroku expert to internal teams looking to better understand how to leverage and get started with Heroku
This role requires a solid understand of integration technologies, patterns and practices. You'll also need to have or be able to develop an understanding of the Heroku tech stack, products, personas and use cases. Lastly, it's critical to have or be able to develop understanding of the Salesforce domain, in particular through the lens of enterprise customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the product roadmap for one or more integration services
• Lead integration initiatives with broader Salesforce and Mulesoft in particular
• Represent the Salesforce development teams' interests as Heroku users within the Heroku PM team.
• Drive the product vision for Heroku Inside. Ensure that it aligns with the overall product and company vision. Be an expert on the domain, the market, the trends. Evangelize the vision constantly so all stakeholders are aligned, have context and understand where we are going.
• Manage the Heroku Inside roadmap. Make tough tactical prioritization decisions while helping the company think long-term. Build trust with stakeholders by maintaining an understandable, accurate roadmap.
• Work with other Heroku PMS to align the Salesforce user requested feature and roadmap requests with the market driven feature and roadmap requests.
• Create, develop and prioritize the list of product requests for Heroku from Salesforce development teams to make them development ready.
• Support Salesforce development teams that are building services to run on Heroku through best practices, documentation, and consultation, and enable the Support organization on how to do so.
• Develop the processes and documents that ensure that Salesforce development teams and the products they build and run on Heroku are successful with existing platform capabilities, in tandem with PCSG and other Security teams.
• Work with internal cloud app dev/ services initiatives such as PCG and STIP to align roadmaps and participate in shared product definition.
• Work with internal groups as needed to maintain alignment, documentation, and support around topics such as security, legal, compliance, SRE, support and IT for Salesforce development teams operating on Heroku.
• Work towards integrating Heroku with internal systems e.g. build, release, scm, monitoring, artifact repositories as capacity and priorities permit.
Required Skills and Experience
• 5-7+ years experience in product management or technical consulting, ideally focused on enterprise software
• Strong understanding of integration technologies, patterns, and practices
• Affinity and empathy for developers couples with a solid understanding of modern developer platforms, technologies, and trends
• Demonstrable track record of shipping successful products in a fast-paced environment
• Proven track record at performing well in a fast-paced environment, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively
• Exceptional communication skills, including writing and executive presentations
• Technical and practical understanding of Salesforce products and how, in particular, they are leveraged by enterprise customers
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the desire and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse, globally distributed team
