Job Description
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial and data-driven marketer to lead Ancestry’s International Paid Search programs. This is a highly-visible role within our global Performance Marketing team, leading a team of internal search marketing managers and external agency partners to drive business growth and competitive advantage. You’ll own the Paid Search strategy, financial performance, and execution across all international markets.
What You’ll Do
• Manage performance across multiple search engines to exceed KPI goals and maximize return on ad spend
• Manage daily budget and performance to ensure spending levels are on pace, adapting strategies and tactics to changes in demand and marketplace dynamics
• Create forecasts and scenario models for spend and expected return from marketplace conditions, trends, competitor activity, promotions, and other variables to inform annual, monthly, and weekly planning
• Partner with regional country teams and other marketing channels to develop integrated campaign plans, align with promotional calendars, and support other company initiatives in paid search
• Develop and own global Paid Search testing and optimization roadmap
• Manage vendor and agency relationships to ensure flawless execution and alignment with global brand goals
• Work with internal and external partners to develop, localize and test new ad copy, banners, content and landing pages
• Be the Paid Search expert, educating internal partners on current industry trends and driving innovation and best practice implementation
Qualifications
• 5+ years Paid Search Marketing (SEM) experience in retail, e-commerce, or subscription business
• Track record of applying strategic thinking to optimize campaigns across multiple Search Engines and other auction based platforms (Google, Bing, Yahoo, PLAs, DSAs, GDN, GSP, YouTube) with clear ROAS and CPA targets
• International marketing experience with a focus on growing emerging markets
• Proven ability to analyze data from disparate sources to understand performance, optimize campaigns,, draw conclusions, and take strategic action based on findings
• Adept at developing and presenting business cases, ROI models, and actionable insights to inform decision making and long-term strategic planning
• Deep understanding of tracking, attribution, and analytics platforms and best practices
• Working knowledge of paid search management platforms: Adwords, SA360, Marin, etc.
• Experience managing teams, agencies, and external vendor relationships
• Strong professional presence, articulate and effective communication skills
• Ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize and respond to incoming requests from multiple stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
