What You'll Do
You'll help change the world for the better. At Cisco, our CEO has stated a goal to get all product back from customers who want to return it. We need to change every aspect of the ways we get product back, the way we process it through our operations, the way we generate value from it, and the systems we deploy to make all of that happen. We'll be developing new, disruptive systems and processes that make it easy for clients to return their gear, match it to internal and external needs, sense the marketplace, help figure out pricing, get it reprocessed, and get it resold or reused. The job involves both running a Reverse Logistics Department, and completely transforming the way we do returns into a single, uniform, positive experience for the customer.
To be able to accomplish all of this, we need the best Reverse Logistics talent out there. You'll be part of a team of Operations and Sustainability professionals helping to make the Circular Economy a reality, by leading a department tasked with:
1. Asset Recovery: getting the maximum amount of product back from the customers.
2. Operations: processing those returns through our warehousing and recycling foot print globally, and 3. Value Recovery: working with internal and external customers to gain the highest and the best use of the returned product. You'll be the central figure in dramatically changing the way we do business in Reverse Logistics.
Our overarching goal is to create a true "Circular Economy" at Cisco-- one that helps Cisco and helps the world. You'll be taking a clean sheet of paper and deciding how to optimally get product back out of the field.
We want the best talent and the best ideas to change the game at Cisco. We believe that creating Circular Economics is as much of a game changer as the development of barter 100,000 years ago. Join us as we create something groundbreaking in High Tech.
Who You'll Work With
Cisco has the best logistics and sustainability professionals in the Industry. As a program and project manager, you'll be working with Sales, Services, Aftermarket, Manufacturing, Finance, IT, and outside vendors.
The team you'll be working with is a great mix of young and old, experienced and excited, and we are passionate about creating diversity as a driver to success: diversity of thought, of origin, of personality, race, culture, orientation, and more. We believe that our differences create stronger solutions and stronger value.
You'll also be working with the best providers in the industry. We work with the top Reverse Logistics and Recycling companies in the world, and our leadership sits on Advisory Boards for the Reverse Logistics Association and the Scheller College of Business Sustainability MBA at Georgia Tech. We are innovators, and we run two innovation centers globally. You'll learn an incredible amount as you push us to become even better.
