DESCRIPTION
Amazon.com's Business, Industrial and Scientific Supplies (BISS) team is changing the way we procure products by becoming a one-stop shop for business and industrial customers requiring a broad range of items. We are one of the primary categories that is groundbreaking our way into the B2B market segment by rethinking how Amazon categories should approach selection, pricing, and customer awareness.
We are looking for a Sr. Program Manager to take a leadership role in building one of Amazon’s fastest growing businesses. You will own all operational initiatives related to Dropship Program across multiple categories and work directly with multiple vendors, management and internal teams, such as Amazon Global Inventory Planning, Delivery Experience, Centrral Dropship team and NA Operations to figure out the best way to meet the various customer requirements such as stabilizing speed, reliability, and cost. You will also work at improving fast-track performance in those categories, especially as it relates to dropship program.
You will be responsible for:
• Developing and owning strategic business plans for the business unit as well as tactical execution
• Ensuring that our demand forecasting, inventory management systems and supply chain network are able to handle both business-customer orders & end-consumer orders (e.g., bulk quantities, auto replenishment at scale, vendor handled inventory solutions, multiple ship to addresses, business-delivery, business driven seasonality, etc.)
• Sourcing products and leveraging of new technologies to meet customer requirements
• Building cross-team relationships so that you can influence senior leaders of current systems as well as the Amazon network
• Negotiating with systems team to fine-tune tools & processes for their market segment
• Redesigning of our existing process, network or systems, if needed
• Partnering with Amazon Business product management team to pilot operational initiatives
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
• 6-8 years of experience in Retail, Retail Buying (Wholesale), Category Management, e-Commerce Channel Sales / Marketing, or Supply Chain / Inventory Management
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering or Industrial Management
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong problem solving, highly analytical, attention to detail with solid organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation
• Consistent track record of taking ownership and driving results
• Attested ability to work in a highly demanding but collegial environment where teamwork is a requirement
• You will be self-starting, flexible, action and results oriented
• Conclusive and able to move with speed to implement their own ideas
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA or Master’s Degree in Operations
• Apparent experience delivering large, cross-functional, customer facing products
• Hands on operational experience (e.g., running a fulfillment center, demand planning of inventory)
• Possess a deep understanding of (or desire / ability to learn) the business side of technology with an understanding and zeal for metrics/analysis to deliver on business objectives
• Ability to establish credibility and work with key internal partners to get things done
• Extraordinary and effective verbal and written communication skills
