The IT Business Partner (ITBP) has the overall responsibility to serve as the strategic interface with assigned business units for the purpose of business technology strategy, solution discovery, service delivery, and risk management. The ITBP serves as the relationship manager between business units and IT. They proactively evangelize technology opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve productivity. They partner with business leaders to define and prioritize projects based upon measurable outcomes (return on investment, productivity, compliance). They provide highly valued consulting and guidance throughout execution of key initiatives. They facilitate decisions and communicate relevant project information to business and IT leaders.
The ITBP serves as a “trusted advisor” and is the primary IT point of contact for business leaders. They have deep industry knowledge and experience with enabling Sales, Marketing, Service, Support, or Finance processes leveraging enterprise solutions. The ITBP provides support in delivering technology solutions that fulfill the needs of the business. The ITBP understands customer priorities and market challenges to inform strategic planning and project execution. They are, by nature, driven to provide significant value to business units. They serve to enable the business to achieve delivery objectives through the effective use of technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as a key liaison across business units, IT, and 3rd party vendors.
• Responsible to develop and implement solution roadmaps to enable cross-functional decision making, business outcomes, and trade-offs.
• Partner with business unit leaders to develop program business cases, budgets, and ROIs.
• Develop and implement portfolio management, proactively anticipating gaps and rationalizing overlaps.
• Define, execute, and measure proof of concepts to inform solution roadmaps and investments.
• Analyze business processes and metrics to continuously recommend operating model improvements (examples: employee productivity, customer/employee engagement, expense management, forecast accuracy).
• Collaborate with the Project Management Office, Architecture, and Enterprise Security teams on the intake process and prioritization of candidate projects across the company.
• Oversee the launch of solutions to minimize transition disruption and maximize business outcomes.
• Possess strong analytical and financial accounting skills.
• Utilize the appropriate technologies to ensure business partners have the solutions they need, when they need them to deliver business outcomes.
Required Education and Experience
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience and Bachelor’s degree
Required Skills
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading large Sales, Marketing, Service, Support, or Finance digital transformations
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing and executing strategic, cross-functional plans
Desired Skills
• Master's degree or MBA preferred
• Effective translator across all levels of business and IT leaders
