The Director of Human Resources will be accountable for defining and executing a talent strategy across all functional areas for the Hotwire brand including Supply, Product, Tech, Finance, and Marketing, which has an employee population of approximately 300 based in San Francisco, Seattle, and Gurgaon, India. This includes providing a single point of contact for the business, partnering with leadership to provide strategic organizational direction, workforce planning, employee programs, corporate initiatives, leadership development and culture. This role also partners with Classic Vacations who are based in San Jose.
Build a strong relationship with the President of Hotwire. Provide thought leadership across the Hotwire Leadership team. Continue to develop a strong, cohesive, high performing leadership team. Evolve and execute OKRs, including focus on org stability (increased retention, quality and speed of talent acquisition, increased employee engagement, manager capability); a diversified talent strategy (org shape, location strategy, women in tech, manager capability, rewards and recognition, and employee development).
This role is a member of both the Hotwire Leadership Team and the global HR team, and will partner on global projects and contribute to the strategic direction of the Global Human Resources function.
This role has one direct report and is responsible for coaching and development of the Sr HRBP.
What you’ll do
• To offer strategic and operational support to Hotwire to build organization culture, capability and engagement to deliver the business results. Own and drive the People Agenda
• Change - Design and flawlessly execute with aligned communications, business or sales change programmes ensuring organisational effectiveness
• Drive the talent agenda - Lead talent processes including succession planning, development plans and performance review. Build Leadership capability through development and coaching
• Engagement – Ensure a Great Place to Work and have excellent engagement levels through creation of the right culture and delivery of the engagement plans to engage and retain our talent
• Partnership – Partner with Global Talent team, Recruitment, Regional HR and other CoE teams on Global processes
• Leadership – Key player on the leadership team, coaching the team for high performance results
Who you are
• Demonstrable senior HR expertise including development and talent acquisition experience. 7 years’ senior experience in a fast paced, tech environment.
• Prior change management experience is essential – including turnaround, restructure or acquisition or disposal
• Highly intellectual thought partner
• Proven strategic business partnering and influencing that has developed talent across geographic boundaries
• Prior experience of an highly matrixed HR model and partnering with CoEs
• Demonstrate real understanding of business and commercial drivers
• Proven successful change management experience across geographical boundaries
• Resilient – can handle volume, pace and challenge in a constructive way
• •Builds strong relationships at all levels with confidence and strong influencing skills
• Recognised formal professional qualification. MBA preferred
• Experience in a talent role (or talent biased HRBP role) is preferred
• Coaching and facilitation skills
• Previous experience of operating on a management team is preferred
