Sr. Manager/Director, SMB Product Marketing

The SMB product marketing director will be responsible for determining our go-to-market strategy for our small business solutions, motivating and leading their team, collaborating with senior leaders in sales and product, working with corporate marketing to deliver campaigns that drive qualified leads, building content and speaking at industry events, launching new innovations to the market, training our sales teams and shaping the messaging/positioning of our newest product, Salesforce Essentials.

Responsibilities:
• Define and constantly iterate key buyer definition and key positioning
• Create compelling internal and external customer-facing presentations
• Drive the creation of thought leadership content and webinars to deliver leads
• Own the end-to-end delivery of marketing launches for new features and functionality in Salesforce Essentials
• Partner with Product Management to align on key functionality to build and distill into core product marketing messages for customers and prospects
• Dream up engaging product demonstrations that are used on stage, in videos and are the basis for customer engagements in the sales process
• Set strategy and build execution plan for Salesforce World Tour Events including live sessions and interactive demo experiences
• Confidently deliver presentations to audiences of all sizes (ranging from one person to hundreds of people)
• Develop effective sales enablement materials like product pitch decks, demo videos, customer success stories and email templates.
• Partner with our campaigns team to execute innovative digital marketing, SEO, and web design to build pipeline
Required Skills/Experience:
• 8-to-15 years experience in marketing with 3-5 years managing people
• Customer Service/Support product marketing experience a plus, though not required
• Proven leadership and ability to collaborate and motivate teams
• Experience managing senior executive stakeholder relationships
• Hands-on ability to create a range of marketing assets (including on-message product demo videos, sharp succinct slide pitch-decks)
• Experience launching new products and/or major releases of existing products
• Strong presentation skills -- comfortable presenting in large audiences
• Exceptionally detail oriented with the ability to thrive in fast moving, ambiguous environments
• Ability to use data and analytics to drive decision making as well as a strong track record of setting and delivering against measurable marketing metrics
• Proven track record in crafting compelling positioning and thought leadership content
• Strong verbal communication and writing skills and ability to work across business lines, presenting to executive leadership and at different levels of management
• Exceptional team player with proven ability to lead through influence
• MBA a plus (but we also love brilliant people who didn't go to business school)
