Director of Events Marketing Strategy & Enablement

We're looking for an experienced [product] marketing leader who is passionate about storytelling, has a proven track record of driving enablement programs for large sales organizations, and knows how to build strategic partnerships across creative, demand generation, and sales teams.

Dreamforce is the largest software conference on the planet, with over 170,000 registered attendees and is regarded as an industry standard to follow. We also produce events across the US and globally to engage our enthusiastic customers and prospects. Salesforce is seeking a talented marketer to join our Events Marketing team. We are seeking someone who has proven experience developing effective messaging and enablement plans, creativity, solid collaboration skills, thorough program management skills, and a strong passion for events audience communications.

Responsibilities
• Help create the themes, messaging, and thought leadership content for our strategic events portfolio - Dreamforce, Connections, TrailheaDX, World Tours, Basecamps. Create messaging that is highly relevant and compelling to the target audience for each event.
• Turn company objectives into scalable, actionable & integrated marketing plans.
• Partner with demand generation and digital teams to develop go-to-market programs and drive audience acquisition for events.
• Help drive alignment between the strategic events team and sales leadership to support mutual pipeline and revenue goals.
• Deliver assets to our sales teams to help them clearly communicate value proposition for our events, including customer-ready presentations.
• Parter with event leads to develop internal communications plans and deliver internal employee and executive briefings.
• Collaborate with the marketing ops and pricing strategy teams to define pricing for events.
• Manage a team of rockstar marketers and sales enablement professionals.
• Communicate effectively and often to ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
Qualifications and Skills
• 10+ years of experience working in marketing, with an emphasis on messaging strategy or product marketing, and sales enablement.
• Must be an excellent storyteller and presenter, with the ability to quickly grasp company messaging and branding.
• Experience working on large-scale events a must.
• People-focused leader with proven ability to build high-performance marketing teams and develop talent.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to effectively prioritize multiple projects and balance cross-functional stakeholders.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong base knowledge of Cloud / SaaS companies and familiarity working with the Salesforce.
• Very strong written, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to develop presentations (Quip, Google Slides, Keynote preferred) to communicate key messages and data.
• Flexible attitude, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
