Akamai's IT team is looking for a talented and driven Director of HR Technology to deliver end to end transformational solutions to support the Human Capital Management strategy and roadmap. This leader will be responsible for partnering with the HR leadership to understand prioritize and execute on a roadmap of transformation projects to support the efficient and effective management of our human resources. We need a leader with a strong technical background who can focus on communication with our partners and stakeholders in HR and across the Akamai enterprise.
As a Director of HR Technology you will be responsible for:
• Partnering with HR to develop a technical strategy for next generation cloud solutions to support our HCM business processes.
• Working closely with executive management to define priorities, direction and timelines
• Researching HR best practices and industry innovations and apply those across the HCM business and technology landscape
• Overseeing preparations of business case and needs analysis as they arise for the HR portfolio of applications.
• Develop an integration strategy to ensure one cohesive user interface with one source for information that adheres to our Corporate integration strategy.
• Coordinating with functional and technical staff and lead system-related projects and initiatives such as, new system functionality and/or new technologies
• Responsibility for support and maintenance of our HR systems
• Proving leadership and oversight to large transformational programs across many functional teams including 3rd party vendors.
• Providing mentoring, coaching, career development and day to day management of work to a team of business analysts, process analysts, software engineers and support resources in Cambridge and Bangalore.
About The Team
The director of HR Technology will report to the VP of Corporate Systems. The Corporate systems team is responsible for enhancing the business operations of our Finance, Procure to Pay, Supply Chain, Corporate Accounting and HR business processes and applying technology to enable them in a scalable and sustainable way. The team is combination of process analysts, business systems analysts, software engineers and support analysts. The teams reside in both Cambridge, Massachusetts and Bangalore, India.
Required Education and Experience
• 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, another related field or its equivalent.
Required Skills
• 12+ years of software engineering or development experience
• 8+ years’ experience leading engineering and development teams or projects.
Desired Skills
• Advanced degree in engineering or business management.
• Experience leading large business transformation programs.
• Knowledge of Oracle cloud, Oracle ERP, Workday
• Desire to work in and lead a fast-paced, dynamic, highly effective team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Highly responsible, self-disciplined, motivational, creative, and confident.
