About the Role
With the creation of a function focused on Growth Analytics, Innovation and Strategy, WeWork has reinforced its commitment to use data, design thinking and rapid experimentation to drive sales growth, increase member loyalty, and continuously enhance member experience. Specifically – our Growth Strategy group will act as an in-house consulting team, analyzing data to define acquisition + retention + growth strategies, and executing on initiatives that will grow our member base.
Reporting into the Director of Growth Strategy, this position of Manager will apply structured problem-solving skills to develop strategies and lead cross-functional initiatives that will drive step-function growth in member acquisition and retention. WeWork is committed to sustaining its exponential growth by focusing on the value propositions, product offerings, member experiences and member touchpoints that matter most. The Manager will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations. During both strategy definition and execution, the Manager will partner with WeWork’s Growth Analytics and Growth Innovation Teams, working closely with senior leaders across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional problem-solving skills, outstanding commercial acumen, refined communication skills and comfort with the ambiguity of a high-growth company.
• Partner with the Finance, Sales, Digital, Real Estate, Design, Development and Marketing teams to identify new opportunities and develop growth strategies that leverage our global position, unique capabilities, unmatched scale and resources, and brand equity
• Perform both quantitative and qualitative analysis to support conclusions and influence decisions, including market segmentation and sizing, market trend and competitive landscape analyses, business and financial modeling, operations analyses, etc.
• Develop models & analysis to support our decision making related to key acquisition + retention initiatives (examples include: survival / churn analysis, growth models, distribution strategy, segmentation strategy, LTV, cost of acquisitions)
• Synthesize analyses into compelling presentations and effectively communicate findings on key trends, insights, and implications while aligning stakeholders on action plan
• Lead pilot / execution of initiatives to validate the initial hypothesis and implement any necessary iterations on the initial initiative
• Translate strategy into specific business initiatives and develop tools to measure and evaluate them
Experience
• BS / MS degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Operations Research, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering)
• 4 - 5 years of work experience; with at least 2 years in a Strategy Consulting Firm required
• Strong business insights and proven project management skills
• Expert user on Excel / Tableau and strong knowledge of SQL – experience leveraging big data sets to identify opportunities, drive strategic insights, and make recommendations
• Bonus: R, Python or other programming languages – strong modelling, statistical analytics, and business intelligence skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence through all levels of the organization
