The Director of Business Applications is a core leader of Cornerstone’s Global Information Systems group. In this role, you will lead and execute strategic initiatives within Cornerstone by building and maintaining world-class applications at scale. You are an influencer and work closely with Sales, Marketing, Services, and Finance business leaders to deliver a technology strategy that drives business outcomes.
You will create an environment that promotes innovation, continuous improvement, operating model consistency, reduces pain points, and empowers employees to better work, both internally and with the business. In this role, you will collaborate with mid-to-senior level leaders and business operations team to drive transformative change across business applications at Cornerstone with an improved customer experience.
In this role you will…
• Define the long-term vision and be responsible for scaling our business application ecosystem
• Lead strategic Business Applications initiatives to achieve top business objectives of Cornerstone
• Set and refine aspirational goals with senior leaders
• Engage Senior and Executive management to understand and establish business strategies and formulate recommendations, priorities and solutions
• Foster strong customer service mindset and manage customer facing business applications ecosystem, including P&L, to ensure efficient and effective use of systems across the Company
• Directly lead and motivate a team of managers, administrators and developers who manage business applications across Sales Technology, Marketing, Services, and other functions
• Drive technology architecture, governance, and processes of across applications
• Provide technical leadership and coordination of software delivery including overall requirements analysis, design, configuration, integration, QA, implementation and production support
• Define and govern IT best practices and methodologies, and align with cross functional IT initiatives
You have what it takes if you…
• 12+ years of broad IT industry experience with 4+ years of experience as a Senior Manager, Director or similar role in IT Applications, preferably in SaaS and/or Cloud industry
• 5+ years of experience as an Architect in complex business and technical environments
• Prior experience in leading global Business Application teams for Sales, Marketing, Services, Order Management, Global Support Services and other business functions
• Experience of managing global team of 10 or more people across multiple geographies
• 8+ years of software project implementation experience related to CRM, CPQ, Order-to-Cash, Subscription Management, Renewals, and Customer Support
• Strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce.com (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Services Cloud), Apttus, Marketo, IVR, GainSight and related applications
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple, concurrent projects while meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Stay abreast of existing and emerging IT and industry trends and relevant business developments associated with current and new technologies
• Familiarity with domestic and foreign privacy laws (such as GDPR), and data security best practices
• Experience managing compliance and controls for SOC/SOX
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, Master’s degree in business or Finance preferred

• Ability to establish credibility and influence Executives, technical and non-technical team members
• Excellent change management skills with experience of leading teams through organization change and business transformation
• Certifications related to Salesforce Cloud processes, sales, service and/or architect level
• Experience with Sprint/Agile development methodologies
• Outstanding verbal, written, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Familiarity with business productivity and analytics tools for Sales, Marketing and Services
