Overview
Medscape, a division of WebMD, develops and hosts physician portals and related mobile applications that make it easier for physicians and healthcare professionals to access clinical reference sources, stay abreast of the latest clinical information, learn about new treatment options, earn continuing medical education credits and communicate with peers.

Responsibilities
The applicant should be an organized individual with the ability to prioritize and excel in a deadline-driven environment, possess strong organization skills, and clear communication skills, with a focus on efficient project and timeline execution. The Sr. Project Manager will oversee and manage 2 – 4 Associate or contract team members and partner closely with the Supervisor, Project Management; Account Management; and Resource Management teams.
Role Responsibilities include:
Digital Project Traffic Management
• Creating and managing project scope and timelines in digital project management system (WorkFront)
• Daily timeline maintenance to provide accurate picture of project resourcing needs
• Updating ‘in-development” timelines to adhere to mid-stream timeline updates
• Following up on Tasks Not Started/Tasks Not Completed
• Assisting Associate Project Manager(s) with new project set up and launch preparations
• Providing timelines and task management coverage for Project Management Team members during out of office periods
Leadership
• Partnering with Supervisor, Project Management to manage 2 – 4 Associate Project Managers and/or contract team members, which will include handling project assignments, serving as an escalation point for these team members
• Providing coaching to the full Project Management team
• Assisting Supervisor, Project Management with onboarding and training of new Project Management staff
• Supporting ongoing training reinforcement
Communication & Teamwork
• Collaborating with internal capability leads to support business goals and recognize efficiencies across teams
• Partnering with internal Account & Project Management Team members to manage short form tactics such as Email and Alert programs, as well as deeper engagement complex campaigns
• Ability to articulate needs and expectations clearly across development teams
• Building and maintaining strong internal relationships that will assist in smooth, on-time project development and execution
• Meeting consistently with internal teams to manage timelines, assets, progress, and deliverables, including project brief development, attending internal KO meetings, requirements meetings, internal review meetings, and prelaunch quality checks
• Escalating potential high risk issues and delays to Supervisor, Project Management, with the ability to problem-solve lower risk issues self-sufficiently
Process & Guideline Adherence
• Ability to follow processes and procedures
• Demonstrating Medscape process compliance and mastery
• Focusing on high-quality deliverables and error-free launches
• Assisting Supervisor with enforcement of project management standards across the team, including monitoring overall timeline maintenance and process adherence
• Working closely with Project Management team members and with other departments to develop a 360 understanding of process/project workflow
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required
• 3+ years of combined digital, marketing, agency and/or healthcare experience
• 5+ years of project coordination, traffic, or project management experience
• Passion for customer service and for ensuring that our physicians and clients have the best experience possible
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, responsible and results-driven, solid communication skills
• Excellent organization and documentation skills utilizing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and/or task management systems like Workfront
• Knowledge of internet technologies
• Knowledge of marketing-related creative process (marketing or agency experience preferred) a plus
• Experience with medical/legal review process within pharmaceutical industry a differentiator
• Experience with pharma clients a differentiator
• Experience with MS Project or Workfront a differentiator
• Previous mentorship experience a differentiator
