The Interior Design Director plays a critical role in supporting this vision by expanding our Salesforce design portfolio to our global offices.
This position will work closely with an array of architects and designers, internal brand specialists, project managers and coordinators and ensure that the design is integrated holistically into our existing spaces in adherence to budget and schedule. An additional core responsibility will be to lead the updating, management and training of the Salesforce interior design standards. Must have direct experience of the construction process including all phases from initial design to build-out to first day of business; essential for navigating and managing the changes and transitions between all phases. This an exciting opportunity for a proven talent to have direct impact on Salesforce work environments around the world, and influence how the brand is received in global markets.
Role Responsibilities:
• Manage the Salesforce design standards program which includes:
◦ Update the Revit models, room sheets, design specifications, etc.
◦ Track all changes and ensure all partners know about the changes in realtime
◦ Lead the quarterly training session inclusive of the deck generation, invitation and attendance management, meeting minutes creation
◦ Communicate and coordinate with all internal and external partners to capture updates
◦ Update the Salesforce design website on a regular basis; including online folder and documents; ensure that the sharing of information with external partners is cloud based and realtime
• Manage the design of refresh projects working with the project directors and outsourced project managers
• Work closely with key stakeholders to incorporate evolving business initiatives and develop programmatic elements into the Salesforce design standards
• Develop and manage various initiatives that support a consistent approach to further developing a robust workplace design approach
• Manage the annual global Salesforce design portfolio including visual records of all deliverables
• Participate in quarterly QBRs with design firms and furniture manufacturers and dealers
• Research, explore and report out on the best practices of innovative design approaches and solutions from other companies.
Education:
• Requires a degree in Design, Architecture or related field.
Experience:
• Recommended 10+ years of experience in commercial or hospitality design/architecture firms.
Skills:
• Experience working on global corporate build-out projects
• Strong understanding of FFE and the design process a must
• Proficient in Revit and ACAD is critical
• Highly organized is a requirement
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with multiple partners, internal team members and stakeholders
• Enjoys creating new processes and tools to enhance current systems and initiatives
• Excels at working with a diverse team from various disciplines, departments and companies
• Can manage many tasks within constrained time frames
• Must exhibit initiative in recognizing gaps in approach and develop solutions to fill those gaps
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to be flexible and change courses as required
• Must have a strong understanding of the technology industry culture and how to successfully create innovative approaches that achieve successful results
