Director, Product Marketing
Have you walked a mile (or two, or ten) in your partner’s or customer’s shoes?
Do you have deep experience in market segmentation, positioning, messaging and integrated campaign planning?
Do you love building…building content, building teams, building marketing practices?
This is an exciting chance to define and shape a growing portfolio marketing team within Expedia Group’s Lodging Partner Services Organization - the team responsible for developing compelling reasons for hotels (and other types of lodging partners) to become part of the Expedia Group marketplace and supporting their ongoing success.
The Director of Product Marketing will bring new products, programs, and solutions to market, defining unique value propositions, clarifying differentiation and designing campaigns to drive adoption of Expedia Group offers and tools. The goal? Acquire new lodging partners and deepen engagement, relevance, and satisfaction with our existing global base. You will bring portfolio marketing to the next level by deeply understanding our partners – who they are, what motivates them, and what keeps them up at night – and ensuring that they are at the center of everything we you do.
What you will do:
• Audience Segmentation, Product Positioning & Messaging– Define and understand the unique characteristics and motivations of our key audiences. Use these insights to differentiate Expedia Group offers and products, articulate benefits and motivate our lodging partners to take action.
• ContentCreationandCampaignStrategy– Create compelling content, everything from thought leadership to case studies and how-to videos, that resonate with specific audience segments and drive engagement. Support the design and execution of integrated campaigns targeting these segments.
• ProductLaunches- Plan the end-to-end launch of new products and programs, working closely with cross-functional teams to successfully communicate the value of new offers and drive adoption of new tools.
• Sales Enablement and Readiness– Collaborate with sales and support teams to ensure they have the visibility, education and tools required to support our partners and advocate for new initiatives and programs.
• Analytics– Engage with the analytics teams to measure, adjust and playback the results of marketing campaigns.
This job is for you if you:
• Have 10+ years of product, portfolio, and/or audience marketing experience, preferably in B2B technology.
• Bring a rare blend of strategy and execution – you can help develop a vision while also rolling up your sleeves and getting things done.
• Are a gifted storyteller in both written and verbal communications.
• Have experience developing and driving integrated marketing campaigns throughout the customer lifecycle. Bonus points for prior experience crafting channel sales programs.
• Have a good working knowledge of market research, audience segmentation and marketing analytics, with the ability to use data and metrics to support story lines, back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to style-shift in order to accommodate different audiences—executives, sales, peers, and press.
• Have the gravitas and credibility to influence executive leadership and colleagues throughout the organization.
• Can demonstrate a history of success working with ambiguous situations, new problems, and global matrixed work groups.
• Thrive when juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong bias for action.
• Are highly collaborative - your product and sales counterparts would say you are a great partner.
• Have strong analytical and quantitative skills, with an ability to use numbers and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
• Are willing and able to travel 10%-25% of the time.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree, with an MBA preferred.
