Director Webscale Strategy
Who You'll Work With
Reporting to the Webscale Area VP in the Americas Service Provider region as the Strategy and Market Development Director, you will be responsible for driving initiatives focused on growth, market leadership, webscale-first corporate strategy, and customer relevance. These initiatives will encompass multiple aspects of the webscale business including product innovation, partnerships, technology trends, executive relevance, and operational efficiencies. You'll act as a key liaison with cross functional teams and be responsible for the overall business strategy. You will also serve as a member of various working groups at Cisco and act as the primary owner of various executive level communication activities both from a content as well as logistics perspective.
Key Deliverables include but are not limited to:
• Overall webscale strategy and plan
• Campaign management for product and partnership opportunities
• Drive PR, marketing, and branding initiatives
• GTM guidance, planning, and channel strategy
• People management plan and talent development programs
• Change management planning and communications strategy
• Drive massive company-wide opportunities instigating by the webscale market, such as next-generation consumption and GTM, the “Next Billion Users” and the “Future of Work”
What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
• Lead creation, definition, communication, and execution of key webscale business priorities. Drive strategies and tactics across multiple executive level forums.
• Extensive dedicated engagement with Sales and Leadership to continually refine strategic initiatives
• Provide analysis of market activities, leading to business insights and planning
• Build investment modeling and portfolio management to help drive GTM changes and sales efficiencies including workforce planning and analytics.
• Development of business requirements and associated performance measurement
• Consistent, clear communication and facilitation of objectives, status, tactics and results to all meaningful partners
• Acting as a change agent to transform the sales experience by crafting and aligning new capabilities
• Consistently identifies and communicates impacts to all stakeholders globally and supporting groups
• Defines Success Metrics: Identifies and socializes success metrics. Responsible for all aspects of the management, communication, and governance that support the critical metrics.
Who You Are
Requirements:
∙ BA/BS in Engineering or Business, or equivalent experience
∙ 10+ years of Field Sales experience with a strong background of sales and GTM success.
∙ Deep webscale industry expertise – including but not limited to cloud, disaggregation, mobile, edge/IoT, messaging, AI, AR/VR, sharing economies, automation, APIs, and SaaS.
Technical aptitude – ability to take technical requirements and craft them into business strategy and vice-versa.
Experience should include a deep understanding of Cisco's Customers, market transitions, value based selling (LOB & IT), Global, sales operations/processes and a strong command Cisco's Product and Services portfolio is required.
∙ 10+ years of experience in leading operations, program management or strategy development
∙ Experience working in large, complex organizations
Proven success, record of high performance and strong leadership skills
∙ A consistent track record of taking on complex business problems and creating viable solutions.
∙ Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Excel power user required
∙ Strong Verbal and Written Communications skills are required.
∙ Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy required
