Director - South Partner Organization
What You’ll Do:
The Director is responsible for developing and executing strategies to accelerate Cisco's growth while engaging, enabling, and evolving a healthy partner community in the South Area of the United States. S/he will have the responsibility of setting a multi-year vision and investment strategy supporting the unique business GTM of the partners, while ensuring adoption of strategies to capture new market opportunities and satisfy evolving customer consumption demands. The leader will tightly interlock with Cisco sales leaders across various business Segments, Marketing, Services and Software. S/he is responsible for leading a team of MPOs (Managers of Partner Operations) and PAMs (Partner Account Managers) who support and align with Cisco's Focus Partners. The current South Partner Organization includes ~60+ employees (direct and indirect), with the partner community representing over $4B in Cisco revenue.
Responsibilities:
• Accountable for balancing short and long-term business strategies aligned to Cisco's long-term goals.
• Set business approach inclusive of go-to-market strategies to grow customer and partner loyalty and partner wallet share.
• Create strategies focused on acquiring and developing a diverse, high performance workforce.
• Develop CXO relationships within the partner.
• Engage Cisco Executives with key partner leadership teams.
Who You Are:
The successful candidate will be an experienced sales leader with an extensive track record of excellence with the following capabilities:
• 3+ years of management experience of both direct and indirect cross-functional managers and individual contributor employees.
• Proven success as a collaborative leader in a solution sales organization.
• Experience with a Commercial sales model (companies with 1500 employees and less).
• Extensive public speaking experience to audiences of 1,000+
• A tireless, high-energy professional with an entrepreneurial, risk-taking flair and will possess a brand of confidence, which allows for delegation and empowerment of the team.
• Strategic and innovative with an external awareness to adapt to market transitions and understand the nuances of selling complex solutions.
• Strong leadership skills in coaching and developing a sales organization.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to persuade - using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise, inspiring and creative way.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead in a matrix-managed team culture.
• Experience overseeing and driving a channel partner led strategy.
• A strategic thinker and able to communicate effectively and influence cross-functionally.
• Adept at balancing intense short-term pressures with overall long-term goals.
• Excellent command of financial metrics.
• Mature management style, instilling a co-operative team oriented culture and values diversity of people and perspectives.
• An engaging leader able to inspire and create excitement with their sales team, as well as across the entire organization and in the marketplace.
• Ability to look for new market opportunities while managing the cadence of the business.
• Depth and breadth of applied judgment, agile decision maker, demonstrated operational excellence.
