The Audible Marketing Operations team is looking for a visionary leader to take this centralized function to the next level. The ideal candidate will continually raise the bar on outbound B2C campaign management planning and implementation. The leader that oversees this portion of the Marketing Operations team is responsible for Customer focused planning and campaign architecture leveraging various touchpoints (e-mail, newsletter, Audio, SMS, Push, etc), process definition/ project management, building segments, building and executing all outbound and promotional campaigns, managing production schedules, directing creative resources, Q/A testing, marketing tools planning/integration and vendor oversight.
This center of excellence supports all Audible business areas including Acquistion, Member Engagement/Retention, Merchandising, Strategic Partnerships, Product, Research, Media, Brand and Promotions. The Senior Director, Marketing Operations will lead a team of managers who plan and define all US Outbound Marketing Campaigns and provide International support/guidance as needed. This is a critical role supporting all initiatives and ensuring streamlined and flawless planning and execution as well as recommendations for automation and personalization.
Expertise in top tier Campaign Management tools and Email Service Providers is essential. Candidates should be email deliverability and marketing automation experts with extensive HTML and dynamic content experience. The right candidate will be a quick study and demonstrate a knack for getting things done in close collaboration with technical, creative, and business teams in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Global SME in Outbound Marketing for both Amazon and Audible marketplaces
• Global SME in Marketing Automation for both Amazon and Audible maretplaces
• Global SME for Dynamic Content Integration and deployment
• Serve as lead management contact for Acquisition, Member Engagement, Customer Service, Partnership, Research and International teams for outbound and promotional marketing support
• Define and oversee multi-channel campaign execution process and QA function
• Manage internal and external vendor relationships for outbound marketing tools
• Oversee and operationalize the US outbound and promotional campaign calendars
• Lead and develop team of planning, project managers, promotion and segment data leads and Q/A Testers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of 8 years experience in digital and outbound marketing
• Must have hands on experience executing emails with Salesfore/Exact Target/Silverpop or similar ESPs
• Experience with campaign management tools from providers such as Adobe, Salesforce, Marketo
• Working knowledge of Content Management Tools, such as Adobe CQ or Content Symphony
• Expertise in process design and QA management
• Experience with campaign test design
• Proficiency with dynamic content tools such as MoveableInk
• Expert knowledge of email and push notification best practices and a solid understanding of success metrics
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with proven ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office
• Advanced HTML skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s Degree
• E-commerce experience, particularly with email and digital campaign execution
• Basic knowledge of web development and coding language
• Experience in a customer facing role at a B to C company
• Management experience overseeing inhouse marketing operations team
