Director, Product Management - House Brands
Purpose Of The Job
Manage overall P& L for Newegg’s House Brands Business, ABS – PC’s
Responsibilities/Duties
• Manage Newegg’s House Brands budget top line/bottom line achievement ratio by managing overall Profit & Loss (P&L) in category as well as drive category growth while developing strategic partnerships and offering high quality products
• Lead and execute the entire ABS – PC House Brands development process from concept to end of life
• Source and develop strategic partnerships with vendors/manufacturers, identify market trends, develop brand positioning and value propositions
• Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product packaging changes while maintaining a balanced mix of in house and out sourced production for best cost and flexibility
• Assesses market competition by comparing Newegg’s products to competitors’ products
• Facilitate inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules
• Develop product roadmaps and bring new products to market taking into consideration market demand, competition, product requirements, ROI and partnering with sales, marketing and production on execution
• Deliver higher than average gross margins and manage return rates to below company average through building strong partnerships, cost analysis, negotiations, and quality control to ensure production of only the highest quality products
• Provide overall leadership to House Brands ABS-PC team to achieve business results set through KPI’s
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge in PC industry by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal and business networks
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes
• Bachelor’s degree Business Administration with concentration on Purchasing/Procurement Management, Operations & Supply Chain Management.
• 10+ years of relevant experience managing House Brands business, inventory planning, operations and/or supply chain management with at least 7+ of the 10 + years with experience directly managing people and their performance.
• Valid state driver’s license and automotive insurance.
• Ability to acquire work/travel documents (i.e., passport and visa) as required by various countries.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to present to Executive Team, excellent attention to detail, highlyorganized
and ability to multi-task
Essential Mental and Physical Functions
Mental Functions:
Decisions have major implications on the management and operations of an area within a department. This position establishes procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives in a broad area of work. Only the final results of work done are typically reviewed.
Physical Functions:
Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant working on a computer.
Equipment Used
Standard office and computer equipment including MS Office software.
Work Environment
Office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Yes – 3 – 10 direct reports
Language Skills
Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English. Additional languages a plus.
Travel Requirements
Occasional travel domestically and internationally with overnights as required
