Finance Lead, Consumer Finance Product – Growth Initiative
We are looking for a top-notch finance professional to lead financial and strategic decision support for LendingClub’s newest and fast-growing product – Auto Loan. This position will report to Senior Director of Finance and serve as the main Finance partner for the Auto business. Grounded in Finance team, this position will spend much time working closely with the Auto team to ensure we are making sound financial and strategic decisions. Key responsibilities:
• Serve as the main strategic and financial advisor for the Auto business leadership team
• Own the financial and operating model of the business
• Lead, plan and direct the development and analysis of budgets, forecasts and strategic plans
• Actively engage with Auto business leaders, providing strategic advice and direction as needed, including project prioritization/tradeoff, and return on investment analysis
• Work cross-functionally across key business constituents including marketing, operations, finance, risk, product management and engineering
• Gather and interpret data, model scenarios, and clearly and succinctly communicate business trends, analyses and insights to Director/VP+ level including the executive team
• Understand and monitor critical internal and external drivers to the business, and quantify and manage risks / opportunities
Minimal requirements:
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field from top-tier university, MBA strongly preferred
• Ability to make strategic and business recommendations, often in ambiguous situations
• Demonstrate problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills; strategic and critical thinking
• Self-directed, able to work independently, as well as work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Intellectually curious yet reliable
• Possess strong cross-functional experience in finance, accounting, business operations and technology
• Have a proven track record of success in prior roles
• Ability to work on multiple projects at a time, and maintain a consistently high level of attention and while producing consistently high-quality work products; Able to prioritize and find creative solutions
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge and aptitude for systems and data extraction
Nice to have
• Experience with SQL and Tableau
• Experience in consumer and/or Auto lending
