Job Details
As a Sr Director and leader on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud team, you will have a direct impact on the growth of the Marketing Cloud business. As one of the fastest growing clouds within Salesforce, this opportunity to drive growth is unique. Where else can you work for one of the world’s fastest growing and largest software companies while leading the business as an entrepreneur with ultimate ownership?
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a leading global provider of cross-channel digital marketing solutions that empower organizations of all sizes to communicate with their customers through email, mobile, social media, web and marketing automation. We're driven by a deep understanding of marketers' needs-because we're marketers too. No other digital marketing company invests in product innovation the way we do, giving our clients access to truly cutting-edge technology.
The Salesforce Social Product team is looking for a Senior Director, Innovation & Strategy. In this role, you will lead strategic product initiatives for the business, evangelize our vision and partner with strategic customers. You should have a bias for action and the ability to break down complex problems - across teams - that drive product development at Salesforce speed.
Responsibilities
• Ensure that the roadmap aligns with the overall product and company vision. Be an expert on the domain, the market, and the trends. Evangelize the vision constantly so all stakeholders are aligned, have context, and understand where we are going.
• Represent the customer. Be the champion and voice of customers. Build impactful, personal customer relationships. Bring the customer's voice into the creation process. Own requirements, specifications, and release plans.
• Drive for the best customer experience possible. Work closely with UX to develop, test, and deliver assets to engineering. Work with the technology team to deliver a world-class product driven by customers, prospects, advisory teams, and internal product experts. Drive the end to end feature delivery cycle.
• Measure success. Measure everything. A feature release does not indicate success. Define what success means for each feature and each function before it even goes to development. Develop ways to constantly define and monitor success.
• Collaborate across teams. We win or lose as a team. Product managers play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders. A collaborative attitude is essential to the job.
• Communicate clearly and efficiently. Coordinate across product teams throughout Salesforce, engineering, product marketing, and other teams. Close alignment, setting clear expectations, and effective teaming is key for success.
• Represent Salesforce as a domain and product expert at customer interactions, industry and corporate events, online in customer communities, and through social networking.
Experience/Skills Required
• Leadership - proven ability to set a vision, excite, and lead cross-functional technology teams and broader stakeholders.
• Creative thinker who thrives on solving challenging problems with analytical thinking skills.
• Strong technical skills and business acumen - proven ability to execute on the spectrum of technical challenges through to go-to-market and business strategies.
• Domain expertise in social media platforms and related technologies.
• Gathering and transforming business requirements and market needs into a successful product strategy.
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership and handling sensitive customer situations.
• Proven ability to deliver on commitments.
• Ability to lead and work autonomously.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a product management
• Bachelor’s degree (technical disciplines preferred).
• MBA is a plus
• A well developed sense of humor and grace under pressure
