The Director of Retail Marketing, Partnerships & Programming will be a key driver in establishing and growing WeWork’s retail business. This person will develop, execute and oversee marketing, partnerships and event programming. This person will be a key part of the retail leadership team and will work closely with the rest of the retail team to create a holistic 360 experience. This position will also be responsible for creating measurable benchmarks to track performance and demonstrate success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Marketing
◦ Oversee the planning, development and execution of all marketing activities
◦ Lead and direct global strategy for influencer program
◦ Develop and oversee social media program
• Partnerships
◦ Develop and manage partnership strategy
◦ Source and negotiate all brand partnership and sponsorship agreements
◦ Coordinate with other company wide partnership efforts as appropriate
• Event Programming
◦ Develop and execute event programming strategy, ensuring events are high quality, mission-driven, and impactful; develop measurable benchmarks for success
◦ Oversee day to day execution of events
◦ Own communication plans, sponsorship and pricing initiatives for events
◦ Collaborate with other WeWork teams to incorporate relevant event programming in retail spaces as appropriate
EXPERIENCE
• 8+ years of experience and demonstrated success in Marketing, Brand Partnerships and / or Event Programming in a Retail / Consumer focused business
• Expertise in sourcing and negotiating large scale brand partnerships
• Experience building strategy and overseeing execution of event programming
• Expertise in communicating and working with influencers and press
• Ability to think strategically and develop a long term vision while also getting involved in the nitty-gritty of day to day; no task is too big or too small
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience effectively collaborating cross-functionally
• Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to thrive in a fast paced, ambiguous, dynamic environment
• Passion for building community, brand, and delivering exceptional customer experiences
• Proven team builder who can demonstrate excellent hiring, training, management and leadership skills
• Ability to travel as needed
