As the Senior Director, Head of Global Marketing for CarRentals.com, you will be responsible for the marketing vision inclusive of new geo expansion, setting initiatives and strategy execution, team leadership, customer growth, acquisition and retention. You will need to be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, own deliverables end to end, prioritize workload, motivate a global team and thrive in a dynamic environment. You need to be a dynamic leader, be able to deal with ambiguity and work well under pressure to meet deadlines within short time constraints and have superior partner management skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Own, lead and drive all marketing for the business
• Serve on the CarRentals Leadership Team, understand the P&L and serve as the functional guide
• Use a variety of digital channels (Meta, SEM, SEO, email marketing, etc.) to seek out and engage prospective consumers and customers, engage them, and convert them to purchase and retention
• Use modern day digital marketing toolkit and strategies, support new product introductions and product improvements
• Accelerate eCommerce sales, including programs with established and new strategic marketing partners
• Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all marketing programs and activities
• Actively communicate factors effecting performance to senior management and partners
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and focus on providing scalable solutions and delivering results
PERSON PROFILE
• 15+ years of marketing experience with at least 8 years digital and analytical functional experience including integrated media and marketing platforms
• Analytical approach to solving complex problems
• Demonstrated experience with implementing digital marketing initiatives that will scale to support the requirements of a growing organization
• Deep understanding of the digital environment and evolving tools and platforms used to improve online presence with excellent working knowledge of digital marketing strategies
• Able to translate trends into the right business opportunities
• Robust leadership and consensus building skills, with a willingness to continually embrace the personal and professional development of the team
• Strong relationship builder both within the organization and with external partners
• Able to interact with all levels of the organization
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and change but able to communicate a POV and set expectations to move the vision forward
• Strategic leader with vision who has demonstrated success in leading a high caliber marketing team
• Superior analytical skills, self-motivation and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Must be able to articulate a vision and develop and deliver supporting digital marketing plans
• Current experience in consumer eCommerce is required
• Undergraduate degree
