We’re looking for a passionate and talentedEvents and Partnerships Managerto help us build our “center of excellence” around Flatiron School’s marketing events and partnerships program. We’re looking for someone who can lead the charge on creating event and partnership processes that can scale globally and help these important channels successfully drive leads and applicants for our programs worldwide.
In addition to being a strong process builder, the successful candidate is also endlessly creative — focused on constantly experimenting with new ideas and iterating on formats to create world-class event and community activation experiences as well as brand and lead-gen partnerships that align with business goals. The Events and Partnerships Manager will enjoy working in a fast-paced, global organization with key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
• Set the overall strategy for what a successful Flatiron School event looks like and how to execute on it, including driving awareness, securing attendees, check-in, on-site experience, follow-up, KPI development, and tracking.
• Build and manage events planning and creative development strategy including budgeting, processes, programming, and working with internal and external partners.
• Build and iterate upon a Flatiron School global events playbook.
• Directly oversee events and local partnerships for Flatiron School’s NYC and Brooklyn Campuses.
• Oversee our global partnership strategy, building both processes and best practices and providing guidance and direct management to our marketing partnerships team.
• Build and iterate upon training materials for new employees working on events and partnerships.
• Serve as liaison for local marketing associates to produce and execute events that effectively drive awareness and leads for the Flatiron School community and locations (including launch events, conference presence/sponsorships, pop-ups, field activations, etc).
• Partner with PR team to bring media attention to events and partnerships, when appropriate.
• Evaluate and report back on post-event ROI, globally, and establish best-practices in reporting events and partnership impact.
Qualifications
• At least 4 - 6 years of events and/or partnership experience in a medium to high growth company
• Experience managing at least one team member
• Strong relationship builder, business development experience preferred.
• Data driven marketing experience preferred
• Continuously seeking out opportunities to learn and improve
• Highly creative and excited to build out and able to formulate a unique vision for our communities and members
• Flexible and can adapt accordingly to newly formed organizations
• Keen attention to detail along with strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
• Exceptional organization skills and multi-tasking skills
