Manager, Enterprise Finance Business Operations and Transformation
We are looking for a Manager to join and help grow the newly created Finance team for the Enterprise business unit. As part of the Enterprise Growth organization, this role will work closely with the Legal, Finance, Building Operations, Development, and Sales teams to design and implement the financial systems infrastructure required to achieve our near and long-term growth strategies. This leader will be a critical thought partner, operating across both the Desks and Powered by We product lines. This is an opportunity to join a fast growing department and be an integral part in the company’s Growth organization.
Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, this role will apply expertise in real estate financial processes and WeWork’s core operating systems to create and implement a scalable financial infrastructure. The Senior Manager will be expected to create optimal end to end business processes, automating solutions wherever possible in order to drive efficiency and growth in the Enterprise business. Key projects will focus primarily on developing, implementing and rolling-out a quote to cash process, procure to pay process, digitized reporting process, etc. for the Powered By We and Desks businesses.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional process creation and management skills, a great attitude, refined communication skills for cross-functional collaboration, demonstrated leadership skills, resilience, and tenacity. This position requires an individual who is comfortable working cross-departmentally, as well as working within a variety of systems, in a fluid environment and prioritizing a diverse workload. Multiple years of experience in systems optimization, process strategy consulting and real estate (preferred). The Senior Manager will have 1-2 direct reports with potential to grow the team further.
Key responsibilities
• Work cross-departmentally with Legal, Finance, Building Operations, Development, and Sales on different initiatives and projects
• Leverage business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for process improvements
• Develop global operations strategies that align with WeWork’s priorities and develop recommendations to drive decision-making
• Work with team leads to identify process improvement opportunities across end-to-end Finance processes, and support process and technology driven transformation and improvement across specific projects
• Identify and evaluate process pain points including root cause analysis and impact assessments
• Develop business cases to substantiate the implementation of solutions and deliver sustainable solutions to accommodate rapid growth and expansion.
Qualifications and Skills
• 3+ years of experience in business process design for corporate finance function
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage critical situations
• Proactive and reliable; driven to achieve team goals
• Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments
• A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
• High level of personal credibility and team-partner success mentality
• Creative thinking and flexibility -- ability to multi-task and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Excel, SalesForce, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign and presentation software
