We are looking for a dynamic Director of Product Management to define the future of the Web Professional (Pro - Web Designers/Web Developers) Experience on GoDaddy.Com and WordPress Hosting. As a member of GoDaddy Hosting team, you will take ownership of key components and use cases at the heart of the Web Professional Experience across GoDaddy Products with a primary focus on WordPress Hosting. You’ll be responsible creating a vision and establishing a roadmap for the Web Professional Experience on GoDaddy.com, WordPress Hosting and other hosting products. The ideal candidate should possess a unique blend of business, tech savvy and a passion for building outstanding products and experiences that customers love to use; this role requires the candidate to focus on execution based on strategic prioritization of the goals that help GoDaddy serve the needs of Pros. You are data-driven, fearless to test new concepts, measure and learn your way to success as well as using good judgement in order to move fast in solving problems.
This is a critical role as GoDaddy scales its business with a focus on satisfying the needs of Pros.
Responsibilities
• Live the life of a Pro and develop a vision for the future online experience on GoDaddy.com. Define the roadmap for the Web Pro Experience across the portfolio of GoDaddy Products
• Define and own the strategy, roadmap for the Pro Experience with a focus on WordPress and Hosting Products
• Identify the main tasks/jobs that Pros perform and develop an end-to-end experience that is simple to use and delivers the best value to the Pros
• Participate in the WordPress community, evangelize GoDaddy Pro Experience and Products and become a trusted partner of the Pros and the WordPress Community
• Leverage diplomacy, integrity, and presence to enable you to work effectively at all levels within large organization
• Demonstrate a positive demeanor and flexibility to jump in and roll-up your sleeves when the situation demands
• Proactively engage with Pros; actively listen to their challenges and help craft solutions via product features that set apart GoDaddy from the rest
• Work shoulder to shoulder with a high caliber engineering team to deliver high quality product.
• Collaborate with marketing, customer care and other partners to drive revenue opportunities
Qualifications/Requirements
• BA/BS required, in Computer Science or related technical degree with 12+ years of relevant experience. MS/MBA preferred
• 8+ years of web product management experience in an Internet company; a mix of Consumer and Enterprise experience is plus
• Agile product management experience
• Experience forming and testing hypotheses; ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities
• An understanding of website frameworks and subject matter expertise in at least one of the Content Management Systems such as Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, etc.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, and the ability to translate those skills into a proven track record in delivering successful, award winning online products
• Prior Web development experience with WordPress is a plus
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
