Director, AppExchange Program Marketing

The AppExchange Partner Program helps ISVs, developers and entrepreneurs build apps on the Salesforce Platform, market and sell their apps on AppExchange - the #1 enterprise cloud marketplace - and grow their businesses with world-class partner technology and resources. Our AppExchange Program marketing team fuels this thriving ecosystem and are responsible for attracting the next wave of AppExchange partners delivering innovative solutions on AppExchange for our customers.
The AppExchange Program Marketing Director will be responsible for driving demand for AppExchange solutions by defining a strategic narrative through the lens of customer stories, deep product content, and thought leadership. You will live the customer journey and help inform and retell the magic of how Salesforce and AppExchange solutions have helped companies transform. Successful candidates will have a passion for taking the complex and making it simple. At the end of the day you have to be a Salesforce Product Marketer—which means leading others with strong positioning, great messaging, innovative marketing, and of course killer content for our events, such as Dreamforce and Salesforce World Tour.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain overall AppExchange Partner Program narrative
• Collaborate with broader AppExchange team, including partner success, product management, sales enablement and technical evangelists, to create and roll out content, sales resources and messaging strategy around the AppExchange Partner Program
• Develop and maintain ongoing repository of partner success stories; own marketing of these stories both internally to sales and marketing teams and externally to prospective partners
• Develop sales call decks and playbooks around the AppExchange Partner Program
• Collaborate with Sales Enablement to create a regular calendar and cadence of trainings on updates to program messaging and ongoing certification of the ISV sales team
• Collaborate with Digital/Partner Prospect journey marketing lead on messaging and content for prospect websites.
• Deliver content around the AppExchange Partner Program onstage at events, online and in-person.
Skills:
• 8+ years experience in marketing with emphasis on content creation and messaging and positioning
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to craft both technical and thought leadership content, with an emphasis on sales enablement resources
• Awesome team player with proven ability to lead through influence across multiple teams
• Broad understanding of general business needs and specific industry requirements
• Critical thinking skills to ask great questions and keep the big picture in mind
• Strong public speaking skills and ability to develop and deliver compelling customer-facing presentations
• Hands-on ability to create a range of marketing assets, including succinct slide pitch-decks, sales enablement playbooks and on-message demo videos.
• Clear track record of high performance in fast-paced environments
• Salesforce experience
• Bachelor's degree required. MBA a plus
