This role will be responsible for building and enabling the team to improve business performance and operational effectiveness and efficiency. This leader will lead US and international payroll teams, monitor and support payroll processing for all current and future international locations. Currently the company has more than 6,000 team members worldwide. This leader will ensure that payroll is ran accurately, timely, efficiently and in compliance with all country, federal, state, local payroll and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:
• Direct and coordinate the implementation and administration of payroll policies, procedures and regulations and the approval of all master payroll calendars and processing schedules
• Work closely with the Business and HR Leadership team, as the team embarks on Business Transformation.
• Collaborate with Corporate Finance and Internal Audit teams to ensure financial, SOX controls and reporting are correct, as well as helping to interpret payroll results.
• Work with procurement to maximize global payroll relationships
• Develops Payroll strategy and collaborates with HR Leadership team, procurement, finance and audit.
• Meets with business leaders to understand, develop and deliver best in class payroll strategies, policies and procedures to add value and insight to the business.
• Ensures accuracy of payrolls and bonus payments
• Work with payroll providers and vendors globally to ensure that they are delivering on their services and commitments.
• Develops payroll integration strategies for acquisitions and in geographies that have not yet adopted global payroll.
• Owns the entire payroll process from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate processing, delivery and reconciliation of all payrolls worldwide.
• Directs and oversees the team's production of all weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and special compensation payroll runs.
• Reviews and performs all necessary approvals and troubleshoots problems.
• Oversees and participates in pre- and post-payroll auditing procedures and troubleshoots anomalies.
• Owns the relationship with our international outsourced payroll platform providers and ensures excellent payroll service.
• Oversees and participates in the development, implementation and maintenance of all payroll policies, objectives, short- and long-term planning.
• Develops and implements projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals.
• Collaborates with the Total Rewards team and others to coordinate the planning, implementation and administration of programs to develop, adjust, and/or enhance payroll systems and procedures due to changes in tax laws, regulations, and Company pay policies/compensation initiatives.
• Oversees tax and regulatory reporting, quarter end and year-end payroll activities, including wage and hour laws, unemployment, and all other required submissions.
• Plans and coordinates the production and distribution of all employee tax statements and notifications (e.g., W-2s) as required by law.
• Manages special projects as needed.
• Ensure timely and high value customer service to employees, including developing and adhering to established SLAs and ensuring research and responses are thorough.
Requirements & Preferences:
• Minimum of 8-10 years as a payroll manager or director with a publicly traded company
• BA/BS degree preferred
• CPP / APA designation preferred
• Exposure to Shared Services and/or Outsourcing preferred
• Familiarity with ESPP and RSU programs
• Prior experience managing payroll for a company with multiple locations and international operations
• Experience integrating acquisitions preferred
• 10% Travel possible
