Houzz is looking for a skilled and motivated sales leader to join our team! As a Regional Sales Manager, you will drive and develop a world-class sales management team to achieve monthly sales targets on our annual advertising channel. This role is responsible for the overall performance of a hardworking team of Sales Managers and their respective teams. They oversee all new business, and are responsible for leading the office. This position is based in San Diego, CA and reports to the Director of Sales.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead and motivate sales teams through regular channel meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, in-field training, and mentoring
• Develop and drive high performing sales management team across all Industry Solutions channels (Account Executives, Sales Development, and Ivy), to meet and exceed growth and sales objectives
• Motivate and provide continued support to entire sales organization, including Sales Managers, Account Executives and other team members
• Suggest and implement new processes and strategies to increase new sales, monthly revenue retention and improve efficiency
• Monitor and analyze sales dashboards to identify trends/problems in performance and collaborate with internal teams to address areas of opportunity
• Assist with ad-hoc functions to support company initiatives as needed
• Contribute to a positive work environment, permeate the Houzz culture, foster an environment of open and honest communication and trust.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience managing managers or 3+ years as a front-line manager with a proven track record of being a top performer
• Experience in leading an inside sales team in rapid sales cycle environments selling to local or SMB
• Analytical with an ability to utilize data to make sound business decisions and find answers in the data
• Decisive and process oriented with the ability to execute business plans with speed and precision
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce, Excel, Google apps and features
• Goal oriented, entrepreneurial self-starter with multiple examples of success.
• Superb communication skills, clear and concise in both written and verbal communication.
• Articulate, persuasive communicator with strong negotiation skills.
• Able to manage through ambiguous and subjective situations, including balancing operational efficiency and data analysis with high quality standards, as well as having a sense of what is “right” for the customer.
