Senior Director of Product Management, Network Security
Who You’ll Work With
The Sr. Director of Product Management has global responsibility for the industry’s largest network security business, a billion plus portfolio of appliances, management applications, and software subscriptions within Cisco’s Security Business Group (SBG).
In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of network security for the world. You will lead a talented team responsible for product strategy, lifecycle management, strategic direction, and execution of the roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership: Leading a full-scale business within Cisco and deliver customer delighting experiences, customer outcomes, organizational development, and product portfolio results.
• Vision: Delivering a clear product vision, strategy, roadmap, and prioritized product portfolio in line with the long-term goals of the business
• Communication: Evangelizing products among customers, prospects, partners, and colleagues. Meet with customers, prospects, and partners to discuss product capabilities and roadmap
• Influence: Influencing senior peers in order to deliver the best outcomes and decisions for Cisco and the Security Business Group (SBG).
• Innovation: Inspiring a culture of creativity, design-thinking, long-term customer value, scout collaborate innovators and hire into the team.
• Focus: Leading an analytical approach to identify growth initiatives. Synthesize trends in the ecosystem, product performance, growth. Analyze market trends to identify the mid and long-term business opportunity.
• People: Mentoring and coaching product line managers and directors, guiding them with growth in best practices and subject matter expertise.
• Insight: Monitoring and staying abreast of industry trends and competitors to identify and respond to new opportunities based on market research, trends, customer feedback and requests, and market demand. Take an active role in seeking and supporting customer feedback
• Results: Proactively hold people accountable, establish high standards of excellence, and stretch their abilities to perform their best work
Who You Are
• 13+ years of experience in product management with a strong background managing a team of product managers.
• Substantial experience and knowledge in the network security industry required
• Ability to operate in a scaled-agile development process and globally distributed product team.
• Highly motivated, high impact, energetic self-starter, passionate about Security who can thrive in a high performance, results-driven environment.
• A team player and great communicator with strong interpersonal and team skills and the ability to interact with customers, partners, press, analysts and foster cross-functional teamwork among various teams.
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills for audiences that includes executives, partners, analysts and customers
• Track record of inspiring others toward a vision, while keeping track of the details.
• Insight to anticipate market trends and their impact on product strategy including excellence in customer research and market understanding. Bring a data driven approach to prioritization.
• Superb statistical reasoning to understand and develop a quantitative intuition for interpreting customer experience data.
• Technical competence - ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, clear and compelling language. Track record of solving architectural challenges in concert with engineering.
• Results Driven - Rigorously holding oneself and others accountable for achieving high levels of individual and organizational performance
• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or an engineering discipline required. Masters or MBA preferred
• Flexibility to travel approximately 25%
